A beautiful reminder today for my daily devotional that I wanted to share with my RITAN family

Read Psalms 102:1–104:35

2Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. 3He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. 4He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. 5He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! 6The Lord gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly. . . .8The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. 9He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. 10He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. 11For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. 12He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.Psalm 103:2-6, 8-12
Some people live on the dark side of the moon. Phone them and they give you an earful about how the world is mistreating them. They can’t think of anything for which to be thankful, and reminding them of their blessings only seems to irritate them.

Psalm 103 provides a great example. It’s a count-your-blessings psalm, a simple reminder to be thankful.

The other two psalms in this reading also give us reasons to be thankful. Psalm 102 teaches us how to receive God’s comfort when we’re in distress. Psalm 104 helps us appreciate God through his creation and the way he cares for it.

David’s praise in Psalm 103 focused on God’s glorious deeds (103:3-19). People often complain when they are tired, needy, and frustrated. But David’s list gives us plenty for which to praise God: God forgives our sins, heals our diseases, redeems us from death, crowns us with love and compassion, satisfies our desires, and intervenes for people who suffer injustice (103:1-22).

The best part is that we receive all these blessings without deserving any of them. And God never shows partiality—giving good things to his favorites and leaving out the others.

No matter how difficult your circumstances are today, count your blessings—past, present, and future. Keep them in mind when you feel as though you have nothing for which to praise God. If that doesn’t work, remind yourself of what God has done for you by reading David’s list.

:amen:

I thank Jesus for His salvation and eternal life.  Nothing in this world is worth the value of His love for us and what He has already provided on the other side for us.  And any trials we have to face before heading to our eternal home is just not worth sweating the small stuff over or complaining.

Those that really know me .. know I seem to live at the auto dealership service dept.  In May I purchased a new vehicle to avoid this on-going quarterly “habit” until we get rapture out. :good:   Unfortunately ... I already got a recall  🙁  ... so I have to spend my day tomorrow for them to switch out the defective part.   Trying to stay positive ... perhaps the Lord wants me to talk to someone there in the waiting room?   If not ... I reckon I can always do more shopping afterwards on non perishable food and prepper supplies since its in a bigger town. B-)

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Isaiah 40:31 “but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Psalm 48:1- “Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King.”

A real blessing that will bring tears and realize how precious God loves you.

Christopher, still sings as a young teen, he has perfect pitch, he may be blind, but he sees far more than most!
Gods steadfast love is never ending! 2 Chronicles 20:21; Psalm 89:1; Psalm 118:1, Psalm 136 and many more :prayer-hands:

what an amazing Father we have :yahoo:

oh, how God loves His dear watchers, ~~  this we know praises belonging unto our God is never overlooked as He holds us close . .  ~~ `  The great separation so apparent these days reveals the nearness of our God to capture  His own,   in Christ's open arms we can almost feel even now the Heart of God showing us He is so ready to open the skies ~ ~
