Wow!  I wonder how much time they have allotted to get all the guns.  I always thought it would be a food for guns program to get all the guns.

That goes to show how many guns some people must have because most guns are worth 8-10 times that amount of value

Most of those guns are old and don't work. Criminals are not turning their guns in for gas because many don't even have a car. No red blooded Americans is turning in his gun for a few gallons of gas.

"Build Blackouts Better": Half Of America Faces Power Blackouts This Summer, Regulator Warns:

Tens of millions of Americans could be thrown into a summer of hell as a megadrought, heatwaves, and reduced power generation could trigger widespread rolling electricity blackouts from the Great Lakes to the West Coast, according to Bloomberg, citing a new report from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), a regulatory body that manages grid stability.

NERC warned power supplies in the Western US could be strained this summer as a historic drought reduces hydroelectric power generation due to falling reservoir levels and what's expected to be an unseasonably hot summer. Compound the hellacious weather backdrop with grids decommissioning fossil fuel power plants to fight climate change and their inability to bring on new green power generation, such as solar, wind, and batteries, in time, is a perfect storm waiting to happen that will produce electricity deficits that may force power companies into rolling blackouts for stability purposes.

The regulatory body pointed out that supply-chain woes are delaying major Southwest solar projects, while some coal plants have trouble procuring supplies because of increased exports. They said there's also an increasing threat of cyberattacks from Russia.

By region, the Midwest power grid will be extremely tight. Across the Western US, power generation capacity has declined 2.3% since last summer, even as demand is expected to increase. Grids in the region may have to source power from neighboring grids as extreme heat will cause people to crank up their air conditioners. . . .

America is slipping into the abyss as households get a taste of what it's like to live in Venezuela.

Swarm mission discovers interannual waves in Earth’s core:

Using information from ESA’s Swarm satellite mission, scientists have discovered a completely new type of magnetic wave that sweeps across the outermost part of Earth’s outer core every seven years [every 7 years!] and propagates westward at up to 1500 km (932 miles) a year. The discovery offers a way to probe the cylindrical radial component of the magnetic field inside Earth’s core.

“Measurements of the magnetic field from instruments based on the surface of Earth suggested that there was some kind of wave action, but we needed the global coverage offered by measurements from space to reveal what is actually going on.

Owing to Earth’s rotation, these waves align in columns along the axis of rotation. The motion and magnetic field changes associated with these waves are strongest near the equatorial region of the core.

“Magnetic waves are likely to be triggered by disturbances deep within the Earth’s fluid core, possibly related to buoyancy plumes. Each wave is specified by its period and typical length-scale, and the period depends on characteristics of the forces at play. For magneto-Coriolis waves, the period is indicative of the intensity of the magnetic field within the core,” Gillet added.

VERY interesting!   Every 7 years, eh?   I wonder if the magnetic fields will cause mega tidal waves and a polar shift?

An Attempt To Assassinate Putin Confirmed:

This week news has been circulating that the rumors concerning Putin’s dire health are true.  The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday:  Vladimir Putin is suffering from ‘several serious illnesses including cancer – but ‘will not die tomorrow’, a Ukrainian intelligence chief has claimed.

Budanov claimed Putin was in a ‘confused’ state mentally.  ‘Here we can argue a lot about the state of the dictator, who thought he would capture the whole country [Ukraine] in three days and raise the Russian flag on the administration building in Kyiv,’ he said.

Budanov insisted ‘there were assassination attempts on Putin.'  ‘This is non-public information. Absolutely unsuccessful attempt, but it really took place…. ‘It was about two months ago.

Yesterday, it was revealed Budanov said Putin was ‘attacked.. by representatives of the Caucasus’ – a region that includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and parts of southern Russia.  Putin has previously claimed he has escaped numerous assassination attempts.  Putin is said to travel with his own sniper squad whose role is to locate any shooters and kill them before they are able to pull the trigger on Putin.

The Pentagon hung the Ukrainian flag upside down when meeting with whom?  Russia?  I couldn't find the article.

Seems very odd since we are supplying Ukraine with money, arms, etc.

The Pentagon hung the Ukrainian flag upside down during a virtual meeting with the country's military leaders

The Pentagon appeared to hang the Ukrainian flag upside down during a Zoom meeting on Monday.

Ukraine's flag, which has been used since 1848, is usually hung with the blue half up top.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov was on the call along with his team.
The Pentagon on Monday appeared to hang the Ukrainian flag upside down during a virtual meeting with the eastern European country's military leaders.

In a video published online by the Pentagon, Ukrainian flags can be seen in the background of a Zoom meeting hosted by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, top US General Mark Milley, and Laura Cooper, the deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russian, Ukrainian, and Eurasian affairs.

The Ukrainian flags, alternating between American flags, looked to be hung with the yellow half on top, instead of the correct way, with the blue half on top.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov was on the call with his team, and officials from 44 other countries also attended.

Austin and Reznikov have previously met in front of the correct display of the Ukrainian flag, which has been used in the country since 1848.

The Pentagon did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

Monday's virtual meeting focused on Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine, the country's combat requirements, and international donations.

"We're hoping to train Ukrainian forces on many new capabilities," Austin said during the meeting. "I know that everyone here has shared that sense of urgency."

He added: "We all understand the threat that Russian aggression poses to European security, and to the rules-based international order that keeps us all secure."
