I have a ministry in corresponding daily with people via email through Global Media Outreach / GodLife.com.  This morning I opened up Michael's message and my heart is breaking -- really big-time, with frustration about how to help.  He mentioned sharing it with a friend as you see, and I thought, I have lots of them here on RITA Now.

Michael wrote, QUOTE

How are you dear friend?how is your family and the work you do?We are in the 2nd wave of the total lockdown for 42 from 18th june .People are really dying of covid 19.On 25th june a prominent pastor ,,bishop stephen Senfuma succumbed to covid 19 after 2 to 3 weeks of hospitalization in one of the most expensive hospitals in Kampala.

Last year's news about covid 19 was not believed by some people but now it is real covid19 Uganda is facing. This wave has reached the communities even in remote villages

People have no food.Treatment for covid19 patient in intensive care facility is 5milliion shillings per day!Is it expensive there like it is here with private hospitals?Need your prayers and actions.

The lockdown on 18th June trapped me at seguku,Entebbe road about 40 kilometres from where my family lives in mukono.Public and private transport banned unless carrying a patient .We have no food as a family and our neighbours too.

we request for food donation .

In you feel it in the spirit, share this noble call with another friend, please do so.

God bless you.

UNQUOTE

Please pray for these millions of souls with me.

Lord, please come and deliver mankind from this evil!

I have a good friend who is a pastor with Epic and has planted several churches in Uganda and have several friends who have gone on mission trips there.   The pictures and stories of the people there are so amazing.   Praying for breakthrough in getting them the support and food they need to survive this wave of the pandemic.    If there's anything I can do to connect your person on the ground let me know and I'll connect you with my pastor friend who is with Epic.  Hopefully our time is short and all the suffering will soon be over for those who have accepted Jesus.   And to think that suffering far greater than what we are experiencing now is what those who refuse the gift of salvation just breaks my heart.   Eternity is a very long time.

The whole world is in meltdown. These poor people in Uganda are suffering greatly. Yes, it would be nice to help them in some fashion, even beyond prayer.

I will tell him that some of my friends asked how to help, but it can't be through Global Media Outreach.  GodLife.com has a policy against online missionaries or the organization being involved in funding. And GodLife.com doesn't have a person on the ground there that I know of.

I sent Michael's contact information to Todd via private message, yet for his friend in Uganda to reach him, not to fund anything.  Maybe Todd's friend could specifically contact Michael in Uganda and try to broker something.  Let's pray about it.  And maybe private message here instead of posting any details.  I haven't heard back from Todd, and if he notified his friend I doubt he has heard back from him yet.
