When will Marriage Supper of the Lamb be held in heaven?

Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Many Christians agree that Jesus did not finish his last supper with his disciples. He has indicated that he should finish the Passover Seder with them in his Father's kingdom.

But while we comb through the entire Book of Revelation, since it has written all the major future events during the 7 years tribulation, and post tribulation era, we couldn't find this Passover Seder which Jesus has promised, except the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Revelation 19. The reason is simple. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb "is" the Passover Seder Jesus has promised his disciples during the last supper. And this event shall be held in his Father's kingdom, on a future Passover Nisan 14. And since Jesus returns right away with his armies right after this Marriage Supper according to Revelation 19, it places Second Advent on the third day which is First Fruit.

Cool!  Talk about a banquet!  Kinda like a high school reunion dinner.  My 50th is this year, but was cancelled.  Scheduled for one week before Rosh!  TR

The way things are heading with various meat shortages ... by Sept your high school banquet might change to just Hors d'oeuvres/appetizers. 😉

I have a friend in San Francisco who tried to do grocery shopping today and all they had was chicken.  No beef.  He tried the butcher store and nothing - no meat.  Crazy times ...

I wrote the Marriage Supper of the Lamb few years ago. It has been my thought that the second advent shall happen the following day after a future Passover when the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is held. I have flipped flopped few times concerning the day for second advent. I kind of tired. This is my final conclusion that Jesus shall come back in the third day, First Fruit, immediately after the Marriage Supper which is going to be held on Passover.

Sorry, but couldn't resist.  Your post (Geri7) made me think of that older woman who was on those Wendy's commercials..."Where's the Beef?"  Clearly, I watched too much TV growing up.

Anyone have any thoughts about the possibility of a celebration in heaven and a second one on earth for the Jewish remnant who receives Messiah and enters into the millennium?  Our God does seem to love a good party!

I heard the Marriage Supper is going to take place on the earth ... after the tribulation and before the Millennium begins.  Then the guests (tribulation saints and Old Testament saints and those who died before Pentecost) will receive their gloried bodies by that time and will be able to attend and enjoy the Marriage Feast as well.

Geri. I agree that the marriage supper will be on the earth but the marriage of the Lamb will be in heaven. I believe that all these events follow the procedures of the Jewish wedding arrangements.

Some years ago, shortly after I was studying this I had a eureka moment. I was reading Luke 12 in my NASB (which I still like by the way), which said in verse 36 to wait for the Lord to return from the wedding feast. That through me curve ball at the time but then I checked out my King James which says :

36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

The King James does not say wedding feast but just wedding !. So I read on into the book of Luke and found further confirmation in the very next chapter :

Luke 13:28-29

28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

According to the Jewish wedding procedures many more people are invited to the feast than to the wedding itself and in Luke 13:29 we can see that people are attending the feast from all four geographical points on the earth and not in heaven. Arnold Fruchtenbaum has some really good studies into these events.

Also I would mention that the guests at the wedding in heaven do partake of wine as part of the ceremony. I bet its going to be a awesome vintage !

Many blessings

David.

Luke 22:14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

"Likewise also the cup after supper"

The cup after supper is the third cup. The fourth cup was missing from the last supper. The fourth cup is also known as the cup of summation. This should be the cup we shall be drinking with Jesus prior to his return to earth.
