Russia has a stranglehold on Europe because it is the major supplier of natural gas to Europe. Even Germany is swayed by this Russian hegemony. Israel's natural gas changes everything and will severely weaken Russian influence. Is an undersea pipeline protected from sabotage in any way? What would prevent Russia from surreptitiously and repeatedly puncturing the pipeline? Will Israel have to deal with a modern day "Vlad the Impaler"? Only half joking here. This will all play according to the Lord's will. The politics of men doesn't have a chance against a God who can soften or harden hearts. TR I thought the same thing about the underwater pipeline. It will be highly vulnerable to terrorists. Just making a semi-educated guess, I would suspect that the hook in the jaw will happen before that underwater pipeline is ever completed. On a related but different note, I think I read a story today about some kind of experimental pipeline being opened up into Jordan. Israel will start to ship natural gas to Egypt on January 1. Hosea 12:1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt. When oil starts to be carried to Egypt, God prophesies the state of Israel in following verses. 2 The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him. We find the rest of God's warning to Israel from verse 3 to 14. It does seem this oil carried to Egypt is part of the prophecy in making. And it may lead to God's dealing with Israel soon in the 7 years tribulation. Never in history Israel has the capability to deliver oil to Egypt. When that happens, God shall deal with Israel. 2020 looks quite promising for the 7 years tribulation to start. Eek ... I just read they aim to have the gas pipeline from Cyprus to Italy complete by 2025. Any ideas how the timing of this plays in prophetically with the G/M war? Can that war start before the completion of the pipeline project? The plans of men are often interrupted by the plans of God! Some think they can live forever in this realm, but God proves us all wrong. Some think they can unseat God from his throne, but His throne is eternal. Some think they can become God, Hell will be filled with those of that notion. Again, I wait not for any specific war, nor for the AC. But only for the Son of God to appear! TR My take is Turkey shall have a skirmish and a small scale of war with Cyprus and Greece over the territorial claim on the gas off shore. This shall lead to Turkey being kicked out from NATO. Turkey shall turn to Russia and forge a stronger alliance.
