No clue at all what this is about. At 1700 hours (3 hours from this writing). Does anyone have a collateral story that offers more details?

From Debka:

"Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is to deliver a statement to the media on Tuesday afternoon at 1700 hours. Sources in his Likud party say the statement will be “dramatic” but offered no hint to its content".

It sounds like the elections will be postponed.  Bibi knows the Israelis citizens are fed up with the on-going attacks coming from the Gaza region and he probably needs their votes.  Praying this war is quick with no casualties for the IDF and that the elections can still be rescheduled in Sept. (the same week would be great ... if not, perhaps a week later?)

It was delivered to pledge annexation of Judea and Samaria (starting with the Jordan Valley) if he is re-elected PM. He also said that the Trump peace plan will be released the next day after the election. Netanyahu wouldn't make such a pledge if he didn't have buy in from the surrounding Arab nations. Perhaps it's a part of the peace plan?

Also, interesting to note, that John Bolton was fired on the same day along with Jason Greenblatt resigning last week.

God is moving his chess pieces.....

Wow very interesting.  Glad the election is still on schedule!

I was surprised by the John Bolton firing.  According to NBC news ... here are some of the disagreements they had ...

NBC News    9/10/19
By Shannon Pettypiece and Adam Edelman

Most recently, the two had clashed over Trump's desire to have leaders of the Taliban visit Camp David in the days before the Sept. 11 anniversary to finalize peace talks. The idea was strongly opposed by Bolton, even as officials at the State Department argued it could move the parties closer to an agreement, officials said.

Bolton had pushed Trump to take a harder line on other regimes he has deemed untrustworthy. Trump, on the other hand, campaigned on the promise to get the U.S. out of conflicts. Bolton had also clashed with other top administration officials, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

While Bolton has previously pushed for striking Iran and regime change, Trump has indicated he would like to sit down with Iranian officials, and that regime change is off the table.

Bolton seems more radical than Trump.

A possible announcement could be to declare war?

Time will tell.  But many pieces on the political chess board are being moved rather quickly!

I don't mean to sound disrespectful or that's it's not a big deal but was an announcement on annexation worthy of that big of a hullabaloo?

Seems like Israel will be doing a major air and ground offensive soon. The question now is will it be before or after the elections ?

Well the fact that he made the declaration and there doesn't appear to be a complete outrage from the Arab/Muslim world is the most interesting thing about this. Plus, the fact that he made this declaration along with (what appears to be) an official announcement for the date to release the Peace Plan makes my antennas stand up.

So this announcement, taken by itself, may not seem like a big deal but couple it with the release of the peace plan, the recognition of sovereignty of Israel over Golan, the embassy move to Jerusalem, it just adds another piece to help see the clearer picture.
