Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian: Tehran Is Running Out of Water, ‘We Are Compelled’ to Relocate Capital City:

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who is subordinate to “supreme leader” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, described the inevitable need to relocate the capital of his country out of Tehran during remarks on Thursday, citing an unsolvable water and overpopulation crisis.

Pezeshkian has addressed the dire situation of Tehran’s infrastructures and utilities, particularly the lack of rainfall and drying reservoirs, in the past, but this week he insisted that no solution exists to continue maintaining the city’s status as the country’s capital.

“I also told the leader of the revolution that we must shift the capital toward the Persian Gulf,” Pezeshkian reportedly said, according to Russian news agency Tass. “Nowadays, we don’t have an alternative anymore. We are compelled to do so. If things remain the same, we will face difficulties.”

The independent outlet Iran International reported that Pezeshkian made his remarks in a nationally televised address, discussing details of the meager rainfall in the city that threatened to leave its estimated 10 million residents without water.

...Pezeshkian said ...that Iran had “no choice” but to build a new capital.

In World First: Israel Begins Pumping Desalinated Water Into Kinneret Preparing for Pre-Messiah Drought:

In a global first, Israel has begun fully pumping desalinated water from the Mediterranean Sea into the Kinneret, also known as the Sea of Galilee, marking the full-scale launch of a project hailed as a safeguard for the country’s long-term water security.

The initiative, dubbed the “Reverse Carrier,” reverses the direction of Israel’s original National Water Carrier, which for decades transported water from the Kinneret southward. Now, desalinated seawater is traveling the same route in the opposite direction—flowing from coastal desalination plants to replenish Israel’s only freshwater lake.

Tests carried out by scientists indicate that the project will not have any significant deleterious effect on the ecosystem.

The project consists of several east–west arteries that rely on pumping. The new pipelines connect five desalination plants along the coast with the Kinneret via 100-kilometer water channels, advanced quality control and command systems, and water reservoirs.

The project will allow the maximum streaming of 120 million cubic meters of water back into the Kinneret. Today, some 585 million cubic meters of water per year are desalinated in the State of Israel. Upon completion, most drinking water supplied to Israel’s residents will come from desalinated seawater.

Seawater desalination is the most reliable source for enriching the water supply, as seawater is available in unlimited quantities and involves no dependency on climate or political factors.

“This project is of tremendous national importance,” said Israel Water Authority Director General Yechezkel Lifshitz. “The Kinneret is our national reservoir. Historically, it has been a vital source of drinking water, and even today it remains a strategic national reserve.”

Falling water levels are prophesied to take place at the end of days.

And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be drained dry, and the rivers shall become foul; the streams of Mitzrayim shall be diminished and dried up; the reeds and flags shall wither. Isaiah 19:5-6

If this does appear, Israel’s role as a leader in desalination will be in demand.

In 2018, Rabbi Dov Kook, a mystic from Israel with a large following, made a startling announcement at a gathering of his followers. In the vision, the Rashbi told Rabbi Kook that the Kinneret filling up is a sure sign that the Messiah’s arrival is imminent.

It can only be hoped that when the Sea of Galilee is full to overflowing and the government opens the floodgates, allowing water to flow down to the Dead Sea, this could bring about Ezekiel’s vision of the Dead Sea as a post-Messiah source of life.

All kinds of trees for food will grow up on both banks of the stream. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail; they will yield new fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the Temple. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47:12

Rubio says hostage deal 'closer than ever' but warns of major obstacles ahead:

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Sunday that negotiations to free the hostages held by Hamas are “the closest we’ve come” to securing their release, though he cautioned that multiple hurdles remain before an agreement can be finalized.

In an interview on ABC’s This Week, Rubio said the talks are structured in two stages. “Phase number one, which Hamas has accepted, is the President’s framework for release—the hostages are released and Israel pulls back to what’s been called the yellow line,” he explained. That stage, he said, focuses on logistics such as who will oversee the exchange and how it will be conducted. “We want to see that happen very quickly.”

The second phase would address Gaza’s future governance, with an international body led by Palestinian technocrats assuming administrative control. “That’s the part that’s going to be tougher,” Rubio said, “but that’s what’s going to provide permanency to the end of the conflict.”

Rubio acknowledged that “field conditions” remain a challenge. He said no exchange can occur amid active fighting. “You can’t have an exchange of hostages if bombs are going off,” he said, adding that Israel has suspended offensive operations except in cases of imminent threat.

On longer-term issues, Rubio said lasting peace depends on disarming Hamas. “As long as there’s a threat emanating from Gaza against Israel’s security, there isn’t going to be peace,” he said, calling for Gaza to be run by “Palestinian technocrats and civil servants that do not pose a threat to Israel.”

He credited US President Trump for leading the initiative and said several regional partners—including Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE—are supporting the effort. “We’re at a much better place today than we were seven days ago,” Rubio said, while warning that “a lot could still go wrong.”
