Is it me or is life in general becoming a chore?! The strains of daily living and relationships seemingly gets more difficult! The simplist of tasks and connecting with people seems to be more of a challenge! Even as we try to disconnect emotionally with life in this realm we are always called back with expectations placed upon us?! TR Keeping a positive attitude seems like an Olympic event! Perhaps the frustration of still being in this realm while being so ready to leave it all behind is having an abrasive effect! Life as we have known it being ripped from our reach and leaving little to look forward to is also taxing! TR Totally agree TR -- and its everywhere. Our family has been divided by politics and the virus. Cousins that we grew up with doing everything together are now battling and throwing rocks. Brother against brother, parent against child. My aunt can't talk to her kids anymore - they've cut her off due to politics and the virus. Its just heart breaking. Take us home Lord. But the one place I know I can go it my RITAN family! Thank you all for being my "safe zone" I know how you feel TR. I feel the same. I am hesitant to connect with friends. I don't know how bad for fed up every one is feeling. Press into the Holy Spirit. It is Him who is the source of our joy anyway. I think God is allowing us to still be here for a number of reasons but one is so we will stop looking to the world for our joy. I know it’s no fun having to deal with the way things are. My business life is completely upside down and it’s extremely frustrating trying to get what used to be routine tasks accomplished. Forecasting future business is an absolute joke yet we’re still required to do it. It’s like a clown show out there. I seldom see my friends anymore and I certainly don’t travel far if at all. My frequent flyer miles are zero since March 2020 and I’ve put hardly any miles on my car. Life is a big puzzle these days. But the Lord still reaches down and directs our paths and we have to look to Him and press into Him if we’re are to survive and keep our sanity. It’s crazy and yet exciting because the Lord is peeling my hand (and yours) from this world. We’ve had it so easy compared to so many who have come before us. Now, we must rely on the Lord the guide and lead us and in some cases provide for us. He is readying us to leave this world behind. We can resist it or embrace it but God is going to have His way either way. True that! Just so frustrating and unfulfilling! But we do have each other, even if Dan is not here!
