Regarding instead of yearning, they are yawning: I have a Christian friend who recently ran out of resources and is trying to hold down 4 jobs without owning a car; she has to take public transportation everywhere. I know I read in the Bible that it is supposed to be a comfort to remind fellow Christians that the rapture is coming, so I mentioned this to her. In return she called me an escapist; because evidently that's what her church believes about watchers. :groan I believe that watching all the signs that are happening everywhere all the time and anticipating the soon coming rapture is being a realist. :thankyou That's exactly what the Bible says we are doing! Escaping the wrath to come. Escapism or not who in their right mind wouldn't want to live in a place where there is no more sickness, pain, heartache and death??? I would then wear that title of "escapist" as a badge of honor and regard it as a testament of my intelligence! Tell her thank you. PS: Don't tell Houdini that being an escape artist was a bad thing! Or anyone who escaped the Holocaust, or cancer! TR It makes you wonder what goes on in the mind of believers who call us "escapists". Clearly, they have NO concept of the Glory of Christ and living in His presence. They are too mixed in with this world. If wanting to live in the presence of Jesus labels me an "escapist" then, as TR said, I will wear it as a badge of honor! Indeed. It truly shows how much we can love this world and the things therein, rather than to be in the eternal presence of our creator God! Absence should make the heart grow fonder, not colder! But I'll trust the Lord to sort out ministrations of men's hearts! Not in my pay grade. 😉 A heart tested and tried is a heart that can choose what it shall love. TR
