We are what we think of ourselves, God wants you to believe in your heart what He thinks of you. You give yourself sermons everyday of who you are in Jesus, the devil wants you to think of yourself as a nobody, BUT you are a new creation made by God when you came to Him. This sermon is worth listening to, it's only 17 minutes to uplift your soul, as the attacks of this world gets worse, we need to put Jesus first in all our thoughts of ourselves, we are truly loved, don't forget that!  Romans 8:1

What God thinks is most important, for sure.

Jesus died to make you His very own.

He loves you with an everlasting love.

He delights in you.

Isaiah 62:5 says, “As the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you.”

You are precious to Christ. You are His. His love for His bride is selfless and complete

Our God has spoken:  ~  "I have loved you with an everlasting Love"    ~~ Jeremiah  31

That's a great question Vicki.  What does God think of me?  Well, first of all, since I/you responded to His offer of Salvation He says He chose us before he even created the Earth for us.  That means we have been in His heart and mind for a long time.  That's a big WOW :yahoo:

The next thing I find unbelievable is that He loved us so much he was willing to turn His back on His own Son and let Him suffer horribly and die in our place.  Say WHAT?  Would you or I do that for someone?...I don't think so....

The bottom line is that God sees and excepts us as just as valuable to Him as His Son.  Can you get your mind wrapped around that? 🙁   Guess that answers the question huh.  :thankyou :dieu:

The last thing I find concerning our value to God is that He chose us as a GIFT to give to His Son.(Isa. 40:10,11)  Thank you Father, may I be the gift that keeps on giving.  When our faith is fulfilled and hope is no longer needed, all that remains is His love....FOREVER

Lord, You are in our midst, Mighty God, . . You sing over Your children . . It is You, and Your Truth keeping us from falling ~~~, ~~You are the light of our innermost being,

~~ so much power resides in each Spirit filled son and daughter belonging to the Body of Christ ~~~

Causing us to rejoice over this amazing Truth, thank You, Lord for 'assuring us of Your Presence  through the Divine Comforter indwelling~~

"The Lord, Your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save, will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His Love, He will rejoice over you with singing . . "Zeph 3:17

"To Him Who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious Presence without fault and with great joy . ." Jude 24

Wholeheartedly agree.  We need to make our assessment of how God looks at us based upon His Word.  That said, if you are anything like me, there are some pretty strong undercurrent narratives in our minds that run counter to God's perspective.  I find that I desperately need to continuously renew my mind to keep them in check.  Kind of like weeds growing in our garden trying to choke out the fruit.  All you have to do for weeds to "prosper" is nothing.  That's why so many of us recognize the need to apply the ultimate weed killer, God's Word, frequently and liberally.  Otherwise, our minds can be quickly and easily overrun with destructive weeds.

You are so rich in the Word Donna.  Like golden apples framed in silver! What a breath of fresh air you are.  Thanks for being You!

Your light shines brightly, T.R. . .

I do wonder why He chooses limited humanity to 'speak' of  His Magnificence , as weak as we are ~~

. . , God has His reasons  ~~

I like how John Piper says it  . . .

“It is about the greatness of God, not the significance of man.  ~ ~~God made man small and the universe big to SAY something about Himself.” . .

~~  . . our God Magnificent and Glorious,  truly delights in His children  so dearly patient with us, HE  reminds us HE IS ~ ALTOGETHER "OTHER" ~~

I have also wondered about that as well.  Humans are a motly crew at their best!  I suppose anyone can start with the finest of materials and make something beautiful.  But only God chooses to start with the most base of materials and then fashions beauty.

A little bit of carbon & pressure and then there are diamonds.
