Sometimes the Lord bring someone special into your life to greatly encourage you. Today, I met Bart who is an ex-con.

Bart has led an interesting life and had quite a wild youth in Williams Lake, British Columbia. He was involved in a string of B&Es (break and enters) where he stole supplies. Bart is kind of a survivalist and managed to evade capture for a long time. They finally subdued him after shooting him.

Bart was taken to a facility, where after unjust treatment, he broke out, leading his fellow inmates to freedom. Ironically enough, he was exonorated and all charges were dropped.

Bart now lives in a special institution in North Vancouver, which is where I met him. Bart is non verbal but his eyes speak volumes as well as his body language. He's found a wonderful home where he is really well cared for.

I hope you enjoyed this wonderful redemption story. I'll probably see Bart next week and I'll see if he's ok with me showing a photo of him.

I must also say that Bart is a really gentle spirit. Very calm and approachable.  Nothing like his ferocious reputation from his wild youth. Just a really nice guy. :good:

That is a very difficult question to answer, Susan. I certainly hope you will see him here and that he will be included in this number:

Christ on a White Horse

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

thanks for sharing, it's inspiring to remember we are still here in part in order to let The Lord's love flow into us, through us and out to all others He leads us to

Thank you, gratefulforgrace. Bart is very special and has a lot of love to give. It's easy to love him, in return. If you saw him, you'd understand.

Do you know why Bart is non-verbal Arthur?
