I definitely think America might be seen as a young eagle that is asking like Sheba and Dedan, "Are you coming to take Israel's spoil?" JD Farag and Amir Tsarfati have both addressed this on multiple occasions and have mentioned a few scenarios:

1. The rapture takes out a huge population of America and our infrastructure (EMTs, Police, Firemen, Military, Government) so we are not in a place of doing more than protesting.

2. Our government is corrupt and no longer a friend of Israel so we as a country happily sit by to see their destruction (our current administration does not fit this possibility, but that could change with the next election).

3. America is attacked from multiple fronts and receives major damage and loss of population from nuclear, EMP, or biological weapons on a mass scale so we have no ability to help Israel and can only protest.

4. There is an economic collapse that is so catastrophic that we cannot help Israel (currently that will cause a global loss plus going to war usually pulls a country out of economic crises, so I am not sure this scenario is likely at this time).

Obviously, we hope that the reason America is not in end times prophecy is the rapture and thus the governing body that steps in after would be hostile to Israel, but #3 is still a very real possibility to. Pastor JD leans (more hopefully) toward the rapture as the cause. I know that in order for the revived Roman empire to rise, great superpowers (USA, China, and Russia) would need to fall in order for a vacuum of world power to turn everyone back to Roman rule of some kind. We know that Russia will be greatly reduced after the Gog/Magog war. China may choose to keep to themselves. So what reduces the USA? Great question. Any other theories floating around out there?

Plus the other half of the Great American Solar Eclipse will occur on August 8, 2024 ... there is speculation that when the X forms  ... it might trigger the New Madrid Fault line, San Andreas Fault line and perhaps this could be when Yellowstone explodes and sends ash across the Midwestern farmland?     I just find it interesting that both eclipses are 7 years apart.

Rapture will bring devastation to US. Stock market crash, devaluation of US dollars, every country sells US bond, yield may rise to 30 to 50%, military strength diminishes due to disappearance of many key military personnel, Government has to deal with the huge debt, Fed steps in to print more money which escalates the devaluation of dollar, civil unrest in all the cities, looting,  the list can go on.....

US is the first beast lion with two eagle wings in Daniel 7. On her two wings lies US pride and power. God plucks the two eagle wings. Her pride and power are gone. This shall happen during rapture. Lion stands up and becomes a man. The lion's ferocity and dominance are gone. A man's heart is given to it. Man's heart is evil. US shall not repent but dwells in a more evil state. It is due to all good Christians are gone.

Donna, I don't think the eagle's wings have anything to do with the U.S.  In the Bible, wings prophetically represented speed, not a particular nation.  Israel is granted the ability to escape into the wilderness (Revelation 12) with great speed.

Babylon had great speed in its conquests, and King Nebuchanezzar spent seven years out of his mind until the heart of a man was restored to him.

Let his heart be changed from that of a man, Let him be given the heart of a beast, And let seven times pass over him.  Daniel 4:16

Why isn't the U.S. mentioned in prophecy?  Obviously, we did not exist as a nation then, and the focus of prophecy is most often the nations surrounding Israel.  At best, we might be found only in hints or veiled references, such as if "Babylon" is directed toward us.  However, I think the picture painted of the last days is that we don't play a significant role in the events of Revelation, either from economic collapse or complete destruction. In any case, we will not be coming to the aid of Israel at that time.  God Himself will protect them, and not us.

New King James Version
And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.  Zechariah 12:3

I just don't see us included as Israel's ally there.

David, do you think John saw the Jews boarding airplanes to take them to the Petra region and that was his best way to describe it as eagles wings?  I wonder how many own private airplanes?  Also if it includes helicopters?

I agree with David!  Indeed we won't feature prominently prophetically.  God has used the U.S. to indeed be a buffer against the demonic hatred of the Jews.  That in itself is worth enough.

What John saw or didn't see I don't think really matters.  The point being is that God has made a way out for His chosen!  He has made a way out of this for the Bride of Christ and will certainly rescue those Jews that honor Him!  That's the glory of it all, or so it seems to me.

I think it highly pretentious for any nation, people group or individual to indulge in self grandizement of any kind before the Lord!

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  Matthew 24:15-21

I can't rule out air travel by some individuals, although I am personally thinking it would not be a significant factor in the escape due to the urgency of the evacuation.  It's been suggested that verse 20 is a hint that there will be travel restrictions imposed upon the Jewish people at the time if there were bad weather or due to Sabbath regulations being reinstated.  For whatever reasons, I don't see this as a picture of planes landing and loading up people seeking escape.  I would suppose the airports will be shut down when the armies surround Jerusalem.  The last place you'd want to run to is a government operated airport, don't you think?

If the destination is Petra/Bozrah, that is 191 - 193 miles from Jerusalem, which would not be an easy journey.  Yet the Lord will deliver the remnant from there when He returns.  Interestingly, we are told the blood flows 1600 furlongs from Armageddon, which is the exact distance from Megiddo to Bozrah.

6The sword of the LORD is bathed in blood, it is covered with fat- the blood of lambs and goats, fat from the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.  Isaiah 34:6

63 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?

3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.

4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.

6 And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.  Isaiah 63:1-6

Interesting observations here ~ ~

I agree with David and T.R. . . the nations surrounding Israel are important mention, and not the entire globe    ~ ~
