I believe this ~~

I have a print of this portrait that I ordered from her gallery. I dearly love it.

God bless her talent. For some reason I've never been drawn at all to this painting, as to what Jesus possibly looks like.

Please understand that I am not trying to start a fight and am totally willing to admit that I am wrong. I post this with humility.

IMHO, Akiane greatly needs urgent prayer. ? Some of her newest paintings are extremely new age in orientation and explanation. They are very disturbing.

:agree   I’m not a fan of the artist painter either.  She admits in the youtube she changed up the eyes to make it mesmerizing  … I’m sorry but I think she is nothing but a fraud.  And that story line of rescuing the original painting is just drama acting to get people to buy her paintings/prints.    Even Todd Burpo, Heaven is For Real,  claimed when he saw Jesus it was the same image of Akiane Kramarik's famous painting. :scratch:   Then it was later revealed he NEVER visited heaven.

Instead  … I believe Akiane got inspired by being a fan of Barry Manilow. B-)

And speaking of Barry Manilow … I love the song “Mandy” and I used to also love this one too “I write the songs” until my aunt clued me on the lyrics and warned me.    It will send chills down your spine because its really talking about satan being … “I am music” since he  lead in the singing in heaven. Ezekiel 28:13 “ … the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.”

She painted this picture of Jesus when she was 8 years old, in my opinion she didn't have any ulterior motive or nefarious intent when she painted it. I think her paintings are beautiful and she is truly gifted.

I would agree Arthur that her words about that particular painting sound new agey, and I agree that prayers for her and her witness are an excellent idea. I am also understanding that to be young and have such a brilliant talent would add considerable challenges to walking in the faith. I remember being in my twenties and would not have preferred that everyone in the world knew about every stupid or ignorant thing that I said or did. She has an opportunity to have a considerable platform for Jesus and I will pray for her and she points others to Jesus.

Geri, I used to like Barry Manilow songs growing up....it wasn't common knowledge back then that he is a homosexual, but of course so many in entertainment are...but if I had to compare this picture of Jesus to anyone current I would have said Kenny Loggins instead. B-)

I agree, Churchgal . .  .   I am so ready to give this gifted soul a chance . .   I 'see' this painting, in no way gives the devil credit . .

All of us in our 'searching'  go through phases ~~  with her talent surely on display, I am trusting our Lord Who already knows who are His, IS able to keep this dear one in His Power of Sanctifying Grace. . ~ ~

The Oprah connection endorsing her art work.   The :bible  says

If the world hates you, understand it hated Me first.  If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.

She embraces Catholicism …

She also embraces Hindu roots … yoga …

There are a few other disturbing pictures she has painted that are very new agey so each one of us hast to ask the question … will a true born again believer be involved in this stuff?

To be fair, Akiane could be horribly backslidden. (Provided she was ever saved in the first place. I don't know if she really is or not.) I've been there myself. I ran away from the Lord for over 15 years. I presume anyone who would have looked at my trainwreck of a life back then would have concluded I was probably not saved.

She certainly does seem to have become new age in practice, through her words and her actions and she needs to repent and she definitely needs our prayers.

Statements like this are extremely concerning:

Akiane is now 16 years old, this is what she has to say about Jesus,

“Jesus shared with us: ‘I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to my Father, but through me.’ I feel that he invited us to participate in the divinity. This is just the tip of the iceberg, trust me.

As for Colton Burpo, I have read the book about 8 years ago and at that time, I thought it was a little odd. A lot of his heavenly testimony doesn't add up. For example, he claims that Gabriel sits at the left hand of God the Father. While the Bible doesn't say who sits at the left hand of God the Father, if it was anyone, it would be the Holy Spirit.

Not to mention the fact that he never died. He never flatlined or came anywhere close to dying. Is it absolutely out of the question that this story that has made his family extremely rich was a total fraud?

I'll be charitable and say that there is a possibility that Colton is telling the truth but to be honest, I have my severe doubts. May the Lord God convict me and chasten me if I have slandered anyone. :prayer-hands:
