📢 Forum Update - Hello everyone! I've made an improvement to the forum that should make following active discussions much easier. Beginning today, forum topics will display the most recent replies first (while keeping the original topic post at the top), so you no longer have to navigate through multiple pages to find the latest conversation. The argument could be made concerning Christmas, too and the way may Christian justify it as being a celebration of Christ's birth because that is their interpretation of it yet most everything relating to Christmas comes from pagan origins. The Bible is so vague about the timing of Christ's birth that it makes one think it was rather insignificant in God's view. I don't believe everything about Halloween is evil nor do I believe everything about Christmas is pagan. I think an argument can be made either way. In the end, where are our hearts? Are we in love with Jesus? I think all of us here are but I also know that we all sin every single day. That is where grace comes in. I am not going to worry about Halloween when kids come knocking on my door tonight. If there is any candy left in the bowl I will give it to them. 😉 I didn’t get a chance to watch the youtubes … but I will. Been busy lately. Personally, I don’t carve pumpkins … and I normally don’t buy pumpkins but the food bank gave me 4 small pumpkins and 4 acorn squash (I gave to my sister-in-law) because I wasn’t sure how to cook them. So I have the pumpkins on display on my front porch and I purchased this cheap pumpkin sign which says “Thankful & Blessed” from the dollar store or should I say $1.25 store. I normally don’t decorate for Halloween/Thanksgiving but this year I did … I don’t see any sinful harm in my decorations … after all God created the pumpkins. And if the kids do knock I have candy (100,000 chocolate bars and a couple of dum dum’s lollipops for them along with a children’s Bible Tract). Not sure who will show up … but I’m ready just in case.
