Some of you may have seen this already on an earlier post of mine, but brother Barry Scarborough posted an abbreviated video today that I thought was worth sharing again here (it contains just the four relevant minutes instead of having to find the segment inside of a four-hour video). For those who may not be familiar with it, the context is the recent memorial service for George Floyd that was covered nationally. The remarkable thing is, with the world looking on, the Lord had two ministers, back-to-back in the span of about four minutes, share two different passages of scripture. The first one speaks of the coming Day of the Lord, referencing God's wrath coming upon the earth (from Amos 5). Immediately after that, the second pastor reads perhaps the most well-known passage from the Bible about the rapture of the Church from 1 Thessalonians 4. So in the midst of the chaos and lawlessness, with no doubt many unbelieving souls watching the memorial service through the demonically influenced mainstream media coverage, the Lord made sure His message about the coming of Daniel's 70th week and the rapture of the Church went forth. While I would expect the majority of unbelievers who heard the message audibly did not have ears to hear spiritually, I do hope and pray that many who are not ready for the trumpet to sound heard the message and took it to heart in repenting to call upon His holy name. How kind of God to share His message in such a prominent setting where so many would hear the warning being spoken. Indeed, the world will hear His word! Like it or not. He will be heard! This is His righteousness at work. Either there will be sublime intimacy and relationship, between He and us, or not. The same holds true of human relationships as well! TR Did anyone notice that large image of George Floyd on the stage in that video of the funeral....he is depicted as an angel with wings and a halo. i saw articles that said he had become a believer, was supportive of church. if he was saved, he still wasn't an angel, he was forgiven by God's grace. it was wrong what the police did and they should be held to account. Pastor JD Farag and his associate pastor Mack have posted a discussion about the response to George Floyd's death and discuss race and prejudice if anyone is interested. JD and Pastor Mack did a phenomenal discussion! Mack was awesome! :prayer-hands:
Then men who refuse Him will all be without excuse!
