The way I'm interpreting your post is that the Rapture is a lie. I am not sure that is what you mean?

The left behind that thought they were saved or are CINO (Christian in name only)  will be told that they were abandoned by God.

A total lie,  of course,  as God never abandons those who are His.

Glad to add some comic relief.  Those that have previously abandoned God, this statement might hold some truth.  But for the rest it is deception wrapped in a lie, laced with half truths.  TR

LOL. ...  :mdrmdr:   Yep, the placement of the comma makes a world of difference.

A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma...  C'mon, Yohanan, think about it a minute.  This is good ol' Pre-Trib TR.  Good ol' truthful Pre-Trib TR.  I suspect TR only lies while he's in bed.   In fairness to you, though, the ellipsis in the thread title was tricky.  Maybe it was meant to shock us into saying, "Huh uh!!!  God never abandoned us!!"  I heard a seminary student once suggest a rule they taught him.  I think it went, "When the plain sense makes common sense, seek no other sense."  On the other hand, Yohanan, your willingness to go to the mat immediately to defend the truth is admirable.  😉    I love ya' man!  No lie!

Hi Dan.  Apparently it is called the golden rule of scriptural interpretation, and the first part goes like this: "When the plain sense of scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense..."

But then I have also heard others tack on the following: "...lest you end up with nonsense."
