We who enter into the presence of God will receive glorified bodies! Will those going to Hell receive them as well?! Or just their spirits?! How will they stand before God at the judgement?! TR Interesting question. I’ve never thought about that before. Not sure which way to lean on this. Can a spirit feel pain? Is so, then perhaps remaining in spirit form would be part of the punishment. The Bible gives indication that demons look for physical bodies to inhabit so denying them a body might be part of the judgement. If not, then I would imagine they would receive their glorified bodies as the anguish and torment of the fires of Hell will be felt. I think they will have a body in hell, but I would not call it a glorified body. Maybe a eternal body. I agree with Perhaps Today ... the lost also are fitted with an eternal body that is made for burning but will not be consumed. I believe there are different degrees of punishment even in the Lake of Fire. Perhaps those who sinned more will have a body that can feel the pain more vs. someone else? I watched this 2 hr Bible Study last night with Geoffrey Grider ... Death is always ugly, and it’s supposed to be, but it is what follows after death that is truly noteworthy. If the Lord tarries, we will all die at some point, no exceptions. A longtime reader named Chris wrote to me the other day, and told me a genuinely heartbreaking story. His niece Madeline was killed last Sunday in a horseback riding accident and the entire family is understandably devastated and heartbroken. I cannot begin to imagine the grief of losing a child. Maddie’s mom is overwhelmed with grief, and really wants to know from the bible what has now happened to her daughter. Chris asked me if I had a bible study on what happens when we die, this is that bible study. - Fair Use - ——— Note: Apparently Madeline (13 yrs old saved believer) tied the horse reins around her waist and then the horse got spooked by gunshots at a local firing range and the horse took off and Madeline was trampled on and got dragged for 30 minutes. So Geoffrey did a study on death to give comfort to that family and to others who are grieving of their loved ones who are no longer here. To sum up the program ... He taught when a person dies even though their spirit (soul) leaves their body ... that soul goes into some type of temporary body that can still feel, taste, smell, see, talk and are aware of their surroundings and has a memory. He gives the example of the rich man in hell ... he saw Abraham afar off as well as Lazarus who used to beg for the crumbs at his table. The rich man feels pain and the heat and wants water. He recognized Lazarus and he knew who father Abraham was even though he never met him. I thought that was interesting. The unsaved will still have their memory because he didn’t want his brothers to end up in the same terrible place as him. The believers in heaven are also in some type of temporary body as well - they can talk, laugh, see, eat, drink, etc. (he used the example that there was water in the temporary compartment (Abraham’s Bosom) for the rich man to want a drop of water. Geoffrey said only our (souls) go up and our flesh body just stays in the ground and the worms feast off of it as it decays and our blood stays behind as well. At the rapture the Lord is going to be putting back our bones together for our glorified bodies that will no longer feel pain, sickness or sadness. I Cor 15:50 He also gave his testimony ... I didn’t realize he was a Hollywood actor. The Night We Never Met (1993), Internal Affairs (1990) and Mr. Wonderful (1993). He started searching for Truth after his brother died (in his early 30’s) because he felt there was no guarantee he would live a long life either. After seeking every “religious” practice out there Catholicism, Buddha, Mormonism, JW, etc. - nobody could assure him of heaven until he opened a Bible and saw John 3:16. He gave up the Hollywood life and now his passion is soul winning and Bible Prophecy. Seems to have a reasonable perspective on death and spiritual bodies! Again, our glorified bodies will allow us to withstand the glory of God directly, as well as accommodating eternal life and the glories of Heaven! TR

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
