In the midst of the chaos and disruption to what most of us would call "normal", I found myself this morning thinking this is a great time to reflect on and express gratefulness to the Lord for all that we still have to be thankful for today.  I'm thinking in terms of two broad categories.  Blessings that we tend to think of as manifesting in the natural/material realm and things we would typically think of as spiritual blessings.  I am going to start us off with five and five, although I have way more that I could list.  Then, if you feel so led, you join in on the thread and add to the list.  Let it be praise and thanksgiving unto our God, to the Father, through the Son, by the Spirit!!!

Natural (nothing too little or seemingly "inconsequential"):

1) Clean running water to drink and bath (hot water) in

2) An automobile that continues to run reliably

3) A refrierator with food in it

4) Indoor plumbing for bathrooms

5) The job I still have as a channel of material provision.

Spiritual:

1) The blood of the Lamb of God that washes away the sins of the world, including all of my filth

2) The promise of the harpazo

3) My name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life

4) The robe of righteousness found in Christ that clothes believers

5) Jesus dying on the cross in my place

OK.  Your turn.  Add to the list as the Spirit leads...:thankyou:prayer-hands:

Fantastic list! :good:    I’m grateful for all you mentioned but I don’t have the earthly job ... praying the Lord will open the doors for one ... if we are still here later this year.

I’m thankful  for:

- Owning a Bible

- Freedom of  worship/fellowship on Internet forum boards & thru emails

- Living in America

- The Lord’s goodness, care, protection & gifts including my furry 4-legged pal who stays faithfully by my side and entertains me.

  1. Thankul for Almighty God and that He is true to His word.  He will never leave us or forsake us.  He has us in the palm of His hand and no one can snatch us away. He is in control.  Goodness and mercy are mine and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. He is my all in all. :yahoo:
