Just checking in with all you Christmas cactus owners … how’s your old faithful blooming plant doing?  Any buds yet?   This morning I found my little plant with some. :yahoo:

And check out my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.  Last Saturday I caved and bought it at Dollar General regular $7.00 had a $5.00 coupon to apply so it technically came to $2 bucks. B-)  The fairy lights cost more than the tree. 😂  $5.00 for a string of 30 lights that has a timer.  I love how it brightens up this dark corner of the landing.  No need to turn on any lights in the hallway.  I leave up my Christmas decorations all year round …not tired of them yet … how about you?

We have always celebrated the 12 days of Christmas.   Caused problems when the kids were in school as the tree goes up Christmas Eve after early church and comes down Jan 6 Epiphany - 3 Kings Day.   We put the outside decorations up the weekend before but turn them on Christmas Eve.    I have a beautiful lighted Nativity set with 8" figures and Mary rocks the baby Jesus.  I have added lots of sheep, angels, and the wise men come slowly from across the room until 1/6.

I have a purple thumb and kill any plants..... Cry

My Easter cactus is blooming right now.

Geri, my Christmas tree is up, has been for a month. The world is so dark, I was desperate,  I had to brighten up my home!!!  My living and dining room have all kinds of decorations, candles, Christmas throw pillows, etc. I love it and my cats love to nap underneath the Christmas tree that stays lighted around the clock. It just inside my house, no outside decorations until its time

I have been seeing some Christmas lights on peoples houses around here lately. I was talking with one of my sisters about it and she said pretty much what you did, Susan. People are depressed by everything going on in the nation and around the world. They need a bit of Christmas cheer.
