Possibly only 11 more days before the Blessed Hope is realized! TR Great, thanks for sharing! Made me cry! TR I can’t wait ... I’m so sick of the sadness this world offers. My fur baby is not with me tonight I spent all day at 2 vet hospitals waiting in their parking lot while they did tests, x-rays, lab work. They believe his sickness is from blockage in his stomach region. So it looks like surgery for tomorrow unless he can pass the foreign junk - bully stick, dial soap, cotton from pillows, paper, stones and who knows whatever stuff ... If you can remember him in your prayers, I appreciate it. Perhaps a miracle will happen and surgery can be avoided tomorrow afternoon? Or if he needs surgery that there wont be any complications and his recovery will be quick and eating and drinking again vs staying 2 days extra. I had to drive into NY and that was a 3 hr round trip so I’m tired and worried for the stinker. He was still very affectionate even while ill. Last night I was praying and crying out to Jesus to heal him and he crawled over, despite being in so much pain, and was licking me to death because he hates to see me cry. He was successful because he had me laughing, but I know he isn’t fully out of the woods just yet. Poor dog. Looking for food in all the wrong places. 🙁 Dogs are companion animals given by God. They delight us with their whimsy and comfort us when we are sad. They give so much and take so little. :thankyou Geri, may Almighty God have mercy on your little dog. They say all things shall pass. May all these things in his/her stomach pass. If surgery is needed, may the cost be kept down and may it be performed by skilled hands. May the recovery be quick and uneventful. Praying that your little munchkin will delight you and everyone for all eternity, roaming and bouncing through the fields of heaven. May God be gracious to your entire household! May He comfort your heart! TR May the Father of lights shine His healing virtue over your beloved pet, and your heart Sis! TR :thankyou kindly for your concerns and prayers. Yep, here I dish out good money for his gourmet food and snacks and he wants to chew junk and/or wrap a blanket around his chewy bone and chew. He’s notorious for running off with a few of my clothing articles and I often find the missing clothes later on with holes in them. :mdrmdr: The eating of the small stone habit was when he was a puppy. Glad to have a blacktop driveway where I’m at now so that nasty habit quickly ceased. The hospital called to say they see a corn cob in his stomach ... I said nope, no corn cob ... that’s a loooong bully stick that he “accidentally” swallowed back in June ... the night before my colonoscopy exam. I could never tell her this part but I truly seriously think a demon opened his mouth and pushed it down his throat to cause me to have stress because all the other times I watched him chew them, he was so careful and wouldn’t swallow the whole entire stick. They are constantly trying to rob us of our joy anyway they can. Thankfully we have the Lord Jesus to call upon to turn our calamities around. He is faithful in answering our prayers with divine healing and restoring our joy. Thanks again for the lovely prayers and concerns. My dog also gives his stamp of approval too. ? Update ... I just got word from the surgeon ... the operation was just completed. He came through with no complications!!!! And no cardiac arrest. Woohoo! He is one tough cookie!!! ? She removed the mass of junk and clean out the rest of the blockage that was moving into the beginning of his intestines. If it moved deeper into the intestines it would have been fatal because his are tiny and it would get stuck there and explode. The Lord is so good and answered our prayers. :yahoo: :thankyou sooo much for praying!! ❤️ The surgeon still has no idea what was in his stomach. She said do you want me to save it for you to look at - I said yes, please. Because I’m so curious of what caused this blockage. She claims she found a lot of grass. I said yes, he was eating a ton of grass on Wednesday night because he was trying to throw up and couldn’t. I gave him lettuce when I brought him back inside from his walk and he ate some of that and was also licking the floor of dust ... this helps in the barfing process but he couldn’t even barf anything up because I cleaned the floors earlier that day. I still think it was the bully stick that got lodged ... she claims the foreign object was VERY long ... but poo pooed it being that. Well if it was the corn on the cob she originally suggested it certainly didn’t come from me. I never gave him corn EVER and certainly wouldn’t feed him a cob! LOL I purchased him from a pet store so chances are he probably came from a puppy mill ... even though they gave me papers - claiming he came from a nice MO farm with part “pedigree” bloodline and they even chipped him too. :negative: So it could be the prior owner tossed him small cobs to eat for his “diet”?  They are going to try to feed him later today and if he holds down food and can eliminate ok ... they will release him as early as late tonight or tomorrow morning. I said tomorrow morning would be better since I’m driving from Vermont and its 3 hr trip. I don’t need wild animals crashing into my vehicle in the middle of the night. B-) This was the size of the bully stick that he “accidentally” inhaled  You know I see an illustration pattern here ... Jesus saved my dog in the “nick of time” before his intestines would get clogged and explode and He is going to save His church and rapture us out before the world explodes!! :yahoo: Keep looking up ... Jesus is coming for us in the “nick of time”.
