I have watched several of Greg Locke's videos and his preaching is sound....and many times in his videos he does appear angry....but there is something to be said for righteous indignation....scripture doesn't say it is a sin to be angry, it says to be angry and sin not... Ephesians 4:6.... looking back on Billy Graham videos he often preached a little fiery too.

Personally I would like to see some men of God, (preachers and elected officials that consider themselves Christians) get a little more angry about the direction many things are going in this country, but the left has done such a thorough job of destroying the leader of the home, the nuclear family and the husband/father role of men that many in those roles are afraid to speak out for lack of support and fear of reprisal from the God hating media.

I am not familiar with his personal life...and I know what scripture says about what credentials are present for men in leadership roles of the church... however historically the Lord has chosen many a broken and sinful person to use in the building of His kingdom. :rose:

Public opinion should neither be His judge or jury!  Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!

Only the Lord knows his heart and level of strength and endurance!  That said, should he step down for a season?  Probably, to mitigate the appearance of evil!

If eventually the Lord would lift him up, then so be it!

Again, it's not about simply about keeping up spiritual appearances, but healing, growth and restoration!

Again we are all broken vessels before the Lord!  But will he let God be Lord in all things?!

Seems to me that his "new" wife is either social climbing, or privy to what broke him and his marriage!

Last I heard 80% of adults in Israel are fully vaccinated.

Then I started thinking about the 144,000

I don't think any of the 144,000 will be vaxxed at all. In fact I'm 100% sure of it.

So either we are out of here before 100% of adults in Israel are vaccinated with just 1 shot or when they start going after the under 18 crowd.

Which means there is still a lot of hope that we are out of here any second now of this year not next year !

I do agree that there is such a thing as righteous anger. Jesus did overturn the moneychangers' tables. He was not at all pleased that they had turned His Father's house into a den of thieves.

There is also the admonition to be angry and do not sin.

Ephesians 4:26

New King James Version

26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

However, at least in the video I watched, Greg Locke threatened to kick someone's teeth down their throat because he was asked to wear a mask at a Dunkin Donuts. Then to go on Social media afterwards and continue to rant about it. That seems a bit much. I don't like wearing a mask more than anyone else, but sometimes you just got to suck it up. Violently threatening someone is a very poor Christian witness.

I don't believe that, in any way, shape or form, qualifies as righteous anger. I believe that is flesh speaking, loud and clear.

As for nobody being perfect, (I am exhibit A) it is true that David was an adulterer and a murderer. He did, however, repent. I look forward to Greg Locke's repentance on this matter of dumping his wife of 21 years and at least 2 of their children for her best friend. That's about as low as you can go.

I had an uncle that got dumped by my aunt for the next door neighbor who was a policeman of all things. He ditched his wife and their children. They used to go on sailing trips together. Just awful.

He does seem to be a popular figure since he speaks out in favour of conservative issues. However, IMHO, there are too many red flags for me. I get a check in my Spirit when I watch him.

This is just my opinion, of course. I hope I wasn't too cantankerous. 😉

I personally agree with the reaction of many!  I must let the Lord judge him, and that judgement will come soon!

Agree Arthur....if someone is threatening to kick someone's teeth in over wearing a mask at Dunkin....maybe he needs to switch to decaf!! :mdrmdr:  and yes I agree, that is not speaking with direction of the Spirit....hopefully he can learn to get the anger more in tuned to righteous if he is going to continue to preach the Word. :good:

Lol. Yeah, decaf might help. :mdrmdr:

I am a work in progress, myself. I love how the Apostle John was called the Apostle of Love. I want to be more living and less hateful. All part of the sanctification process. I strive against anger and I know it's destructive effects from firsthand experience.
