Deceived with regards to salvation, like the two babies in the womb is true!

Being born broken and needy visits us all!

It's truly amazing how mean (in the South we say "ugly") people can be and I'm shocked how often it comes out of the Church. From what I've come to know of you over the years you are a lively, fun loving, person who loves the Lord. You are kind and considerate and I think people who are like you get attacked because those other people are not really Christ's and they see Him in you. The kind and sweet spirited are always the ones whom the devil's own love to attack. Your hurts and pains and disappointments will be greatly rewarded by the Lord. He knows what you have endured for His sake and He will not forget. And here you are, all these years later and you still possess the light and love of the Lord! How great is your reward in Heaven! We as Christians often times think we have to be called on to reject Christ or be publicly humiliated for standing with Him to be considered as suffering for Him but it's much more than that! We are also sharing in our Lord's suffering when we are attacked for simply carrying His light in us. I know we will be given new bodies in Heaven. I know that Christ's scars will be visible for all to see. Perhaps our scars that brought such glory to God will be revealed for all to see but we will no longer look on these things as scars to be despised but a true badge of honor, something we can cast at His feet. For His honor and His glory did we bear these burdens. When you look into Jesus' eyes for the first time and you see His unending love for you I believe you will no longer see your birthmark in the same light. Everything will melt away in His holy presence! Don't let the ugly people steal your joy! You are too magnificent for that!

Interesting you should bring that up, Geri I have a wonderful sister in the Lord who has a son with autism. He is obsessed with the idea that he will go into the afterlife carrying his flaws, imperfections and scars. It is heartbreaking to listen to. We have tried many times to disuade him of this notion and continue to pray that the Lord will speak to him. :prayer-hands:  (His name is Andy, by the way.)

I believe the only one in heaven/new earth with scars will be Jesus. For all eternity we will be reminded of His incomparable act of love that He did for us.

So, I don't think any of us will have scars, flaws or birthmarks in our glorified bodies.

I agree. I don't necessarily believe we will have anything other than a perfected body in Heaven but I won't rule out the possibility.

Certainly, I could be wrong. IMHO, we won't have scars or imperfections in the afterlife.

Here is an article that says that perhaps we will have beautiful scars in heaven. Like for example, if we took a bullet for a friend. Also, he mentions belly buttons. They are a scar. Will we have those? (Did Adam and Eve have them? Interesting question. Heh heh.) He also states that if we are uncomfortable with the scars then we can ask God to remove them.

Seems reasonable.
