B-) Well … I tried doing that today … what harm could be viewing an old Nov 1968 Mod Squad episode called “Find Tara Chapman!”?? Synopsis … the main character (Yvonne Craig) is walking around with killer meningitis and infecting everyone she is in contact with and she doesn’t know it. The squad desperately tried to find her, but she thinks they’re really the bad guys trying to kill her, since she witnessed a mob hit back NY City. The first scene she is driving a light blue corvette convertible with another female in the passenger side who is complaining of really bad headaches. So she stops at a gas station to try to get someone to fill up her tank … but the female passenger is complaining so much and now sweating … so she drops her off at the nearest hospital. The hospital clerk behind the desk wants her to stay to fill out paperwork and she doesn’t want to do that because she fears the killer is after her. So she sneaks into the E.R room and says to the other female I will be back … I have to leave … meanwhile the doctor turns around and approaches her and says “you are not going anywhere … you are contagious and need to be treated too.” But she flees down the hallway and makes it to the elevator before it closes and is on the run. Meanwhile the Mod Squad team is brought in on the case … you see them in the captain’s office and a nurse … yes a nurse is administering the team and the captain … with the meningitis antidote vaxx shot! :wacko: Thru out the remaining episode they keep missing her … always one step behind. The ending scenes are … she hitchhiked a ride to the Southern California shipping cargo ports … hoping to meet up with her sailor father but he is a no show. Meanwhile the mod squad team traced her steps so they are there to bring her to the hospital but as they are trying to get off the ship … the killer mob guy suddenly shows up. So the team carry her down the back steps of the shipping boat … and sneak off in a small motor boat that is docked and are out in the bay. Then the mob guy gets into his car and drives a little ways parallel to them in their small motor boat … until he sees this guy getting ready to use his motor boat. He quickly get out of his car and pushes him into the waters and the killer is in that speed boat going after the mod squad team while firing shots. Then the costal guard comes to the rescue to save the day. But during the chase scenes in the water … I’m looking at the shore line of the empty delivery port … no backup of cargo containers anywhere. Its just weird viewing this 53 year old episode … with the theme of a contagious disease and being vaxx and watching the ending scenes at the LA shipping yards. Oh and the main guest star was Yvonne Craig - who also played the role as BatGirl in the Batman program. Coincidence?
