Given the way the media is handling it my gut says it's not as bad as it is being reported. With that said, it may be too early to tell. What I find interesting is the ridiculous knee jerk reactions I see and hear about. One of the most ludicrous being people who won't drink Corona beer. Not because it's alcohol but because of the name. It reminds me of the people in this country who showed their support for the ban on French imports by not eating French fries. But I did hear that the word Corona means "crown" :yahoo: As I've said in the past. God can heal all manner of sickness, illness, disease and even death! But He won't heal, stupid! Sadly, we humans are a goofy lot to be sure. That said, I am amazed to see the basic level of intelligence for the average and uneducated person to rival that of a sack full of rocks. But what in God's name does He see in us?! And for those that are educated many still refuse to be schooled! Go figure. TR I still believe in my own conspiracy theory. This coronavirus is a bio warfare raged against some countries. But it is out of control now. I also believe vaccine has been made available, and is waiting for release soon. Jesus describes people are eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage prior to rapture. Right now fear has gripped everyone, stock market crash. Many countries have declared state of emergency. It ain't business as usual described by Jesus. So a "quick discovery" of vaccine shall solve this virus crisis and life shall go back to normal in many countries. Then bang, booms, rapture !! Hope I am right. We've all been played so many times over the years. As you say, it's hard to know what to believe any more about the news. I don't think it's all been made up, and still there are so many conflicting reports being put out there that the actual level of threat is difficult to determine. It is even more of a challenge to get to the truth these days, as opposed to previous outbreaks, as the virus is being used by dishonest people to further outside agendas. I tend to lean toward the view that it's being hyped and the panic is unwarranted. That only means it hasn't hit where I am yet. I might feel differently if I were in the midst of it, with neighbors falling ill right and left. I see the store shelves being emptied out; nevertheless, I can't say with certainty what amount of precaution is justified at this stage. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Luke 21:35 You don't know you've stepped into a snare until it's too late. Otherwise, you'd go in a different direction to avoid it. I suspect this will burn out and people will breathe a sigh of relief eventually. It will be bad news for those who are infected with it, nevertheless. Then something else will come along to induced fear and panic.
