I’m voting this is it ... the end of the church age is near! :good:

I thought I was safe in the mountains of la la land, but nope.  We are feeling the crazy hoarding up here now.  Read a lot last night about the shut downs of schools, offices, etc. on the east coast. They might even extend the tax return date since people are bugging out.  I’m late in doing my taxes and I do them the old fashion way - paper snail trail.  So I went to the local library this morning to pick up the forms/and or print them out from the websites because I got a feeling they “might” eventually close the library, if they start closing the local schools.   Then I headed over to the grocery store.  Wow, what an eerie time it was ... mobs of people and pretty much lots of aisles of empty shelves not just paper products and hand sanitizers, but 70% of can goods are now completely gone, and just handful boxes of pasta, chips, cookies, crackers, bread.  90% of frozen meals gone and no frozen vegetables or bags of French fries.  No eggs left and the hot dogs seemed to be a hot item too.  They are also running low in their bakery dept. No flour or sugar either.  And they are running low on the milk and yogurt  I wish I had my iPad with me to take pictures.   They still have plenty of fruits/veggies and condiment items/spices and cereals.  But not sure how people are going to eat cereal without milk.    I have never seen it this bad - even the worse blizzard snow storm ... the majority of the items are still available to purchase, but not today.  I finally asked a worker what’s going on ... are a lot of workers on vacation?  He laughed and said no, its the coronavirus.  He went on and said because the NJ/NY schools and a lot of businesses are closed ... they are up here  bugging out in Vermont in their vacation homes and stocking up not just for 1 week but for at least 4-6 weeks.  I said you are going to restock, right?  He said, if we get the shipments in. We don’t know what will be coming off the trucks so he advised me to get what I need NOW.  So I got the last package of Hebrew National brand hot dogs, the last box of oatmeal, the last package of butter ...  the last 4 boxes of frozen Stouffer's meals I like. My favorite tea wasn’t available but I notice they still are well stocked in the coffee aisle.  No temptation there.   Lots of sodas still available but they cleared out of most of the wine, beer, including the Corona brand.  The name didn’t bother them.  They ran out of Poland Spring bottled water ... they have another brand still available but I never heard of it and afraid to take the chance not knowing where that water is coming from.  And there is still plenty of Easter candy.

I then went to the other grocery store in town (much smaller place) was surprised it was relatively more calmer over there and they still had items so I picked up what I couldn’t find from the other store and stocked up.

Its just a weird feeling today while trying to shop ...

Also one of my neighbors listed his condo for sale a few weeks ago ... he removed the listing earlier this week.  He was going to move back to Boston and perhaps has 2nd thoughts since the virus outbreak.

If things get worse, Government will order shut down on all the restaurant, bars, social gathering. Italy already did this. There is no eating, drinking in public places, marrying and giving in marriage. This is not the normalcy described by Jesus before the rapture. If rapture does happen this year, I expect the virus may go rampant for few more months, then it goes away. It may due to summer arrives, temperature heats up, the flu season is gone, or a quick discovery of vaccine. Things go back to normal. Then all of sudden rapture comes!!

Whit, I don't know how to rank this virus with 1918, the information coming out has not been reliable (for example, where no testing is done, the numbers that are given do not reflect the actual rate of infection or severity)

yesterday while waiting for a flight home in an international US airport, myself and others present in a waiting room witnessed a woman who obviously must have had mental health difficulty going chair to chair in the waiting room, wiping her hair with her hands, and then wiping each chair seat and arms of the chairs with her hands, one by one. Two airport staff watched her do this with no concern for either her safety (mental health wise, was she homeless? why was she at the airport wiping every seat in the waiting room? had she eaten? did she know her name or story?) or for any concern about spreading germs. One was a uniformed security person in the airport, the other was staff by her uniform, but I do not know her role.

So if it is 1918 all over again, how come airport personnel are wearing gloves at the point where your ticket is scanned before boarding but no concern is show when someone walks into the waiting room and starts wiping down chairs? So it does not make sense to me. If it is 1918 again in the severity of this virus, it has not been logically explained with facts that are reliable. When 1 in 31 people approximately came down with hospital acquired infections according to CDC, how come hospitals are not cleaned better or the public warned not to go there without taking precautions? I haven't looked up nosocomial infections in Spain or other countries, but you can count on the fact they are out there. Whatever the health ministry or disease control place is in your country, check what their numbers are for numbers who got flu or died from flu in other years, or if they publish the rate of hospital acquired infections and compare it to the number reported to have Covid19 now in your country. Compare the response.

what does make sense is that governments are not going to let this crisis go to waste, to squeeze out of it pressure on countries they have a beef with by cutting down transportation of people and goods, more control over the population freedom of mobility and freedom of association...

A baby gets born when mom is dilated to 10cm. we are not there yet, but the pressure is rising. What will it take for Israel to say "blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord"? It will take the 70th week of Daniel, aka the tribulation, that's what it will take. We are not in the tribulation time yet, but this virus is one more thing that is bringing changes in how government and people interact with one another. If it is 1918 in likeness, we would be wise to take it seriously; if it is overblown for governments to grab more control, we would be wise to not be deceived.

Pray about everything and trust Jesus. He is our savior and provider.

IMHO,  this is bio warfare.  It is also a gigantic psy-op.  A trial run before the Tribulation.  As it is,  a birth pang.

I don't believe it is as bad as it is being hyped.  It is designed to cause fear and panic.

Also,  it could be the cover for the roll out of 5G.  5G went online in Wuhan on October 31st,  2019. 5G is extremely bad for your health and is classified as a military weapon. Flu like symptoms are reported from 5G exposure.

So,  they may be doing a trial run on using a virus in combination with 5G,  which greatly taxes your immune system.

Perhaps,  they can get the grids up quickly in the most important places for them while everyone is quarantined in their homes.

Whatever the case,  the evil people behind this (ie.  Bill Gates)  won't win.  May they repent before it is too late.

Greetings Whit ! And welcome to this forum !

I think this is very bad and about to get a lot worse here in America !!! The latest I'm hearing is that Trump is going to shut down America for at least 4 weeks within the next week or 2 possibly as soon as this Sunday in some areas. When/if that happens all hell is going to break loose here !!!

Hmmm ... will Trump say we are doing this for your “peace and safety”?

Please Lord :prayer-hands:  we don’t want to experience hell on earth ... please rapture us out soon!

I tend to agree Geri and that is what I am talking about .  I am on leave this week and went to the commissary on Tuesday.  I bought about two weeks worth of stuff and put it in the freezer with the goal being to shop as i normally would, but have two weeks in the freezer if we went into lockdown.  Thursday and Friday has been insane in the stores.  Loaded baskets, empty shelves, etc.  Everything is closing, churches not having worship, all gatherings cancelled, declared a CDC pandemic, presidential state of emergency, etc.

This just seems to be so different than anything else we have experienced before, but I am reading a lot about the virus not being that bad.

I am feeling like this is just another fire drill, but it could be more.  Like pastor JD says, when you see Christmas lights go up you know Thanksgiving is near.  If this is not "the one" it sure is a good dress rehearsal.

I guess we wait and see :good:
