lol i could go on and on about this kind of stuff. The public school system is all about what the teacher unions want which basically seems like every teacher wants to make a 120k a year teaching 4 classes a day, getting at least 12 weeks of paid vacation per year along with up to 30 paid sick days a year, retire after 30 years and get at least an 80k a year pension with a 3% raise added every year with the same 100% fully paid health, dental, vision, 401k and whatever other benefits while they were working 4 hours a day for them and their spouse. Which means the students come last. Yeah, the USA and Canada definitely don't get a very good return on the enormous amounts of money spent on education. Not too long ago i was watching a YT video on the country that has the best education system in the world and I can't remember which country it was but what they did was they got rid of all private schools. And in doing so all the rich people had to get involved and make the public schools better now that their children were forced to go there instead. But the real secret is early childhood development between the ages of 1 - 4 And only the parents can work on that if they want their kid to be smart and ahead of the curve and all that. I am in Kansas and we have one of the top community colleges in the nation. A good friend of ours is a teacher there and says he is retiring in the spring because of this same policy. My understanding is that starting fall 2022 they were told that they needed to adjust grades to take race and gender into account. make sure students don't ever get a D or F anymore. don't want people to know the masks are effecting their health. Everybody is just performing brilliantly.
