Awakened To Reality An occurrence came my way last night, As I lay quietly asleep, The Good Lord whispered inside my head, A message that almost made me weep. He doesn't have me speak as others, He has me convey His Thoughts through prose, Although so many don't like poetry, I guess that's just the way it goes. I've never heard the Voice of God, Audibly speak into my ears; I haven't had a prophetic dream, Although I've read many over the years. I haven't spoken in a foreign tongue, Or been gifted as the wise, I've never witnessed a vision from God, That danced before my eyes. Sometimes I've looked at "perfect dates", Which came and passed us by, The numbers all aligned so well, Leaving me contemplating: "Why?” Once Saved, Always Saved, This argument never will abate, Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, or Post Trib views, Just inflame never-ending debate. Who is right? Who is wrong? Will it matter in the end? The confusion today will flee at once, When the Lord chooses to descend. Quite often my faith has been very weak, Much smaller than a mustard seed, I know the Word -- yet I still sin, I'm a Christian of lesser-breed. I haven't lived a perfect life, I'm ashamed at things I've done, I haven't always stayed the course, And acted more like a Prodigal Son. Will this all keep me out of Heaven? Will I possibly be ignored and left behind? Will Jesus come and Rapture His Church, Leaving me stranded and in a bind? Am I as unworthy and lost as I tend to believe, By a conscience seeking to steal all joy? Or is this all part of a grander scheme -- Another stratagem in the devil's ploy? It is quite apparent that I'm not a star, I won't make the Heavenly Honor Roll, But my Saviour holds me in His Hands, Guarding my heart, my mind, and soul. He died on the Cross for my wretched sins, And said "IT IS FINISHED" before I was born, He provided access to the Throne, When the Temple Veil was miraculously torn. But last night the Lord reminded me, That He washed my sins at Calvary, Although unworthy -- by the Cross I'm saved, The Lord has forever set me free. The haughty can continue to spout and blow, They can bluster like hurricanes, They can form their own proud conclusions, And barrage me with their rains. I won't let that diminish my Thunder, My Lightning will streak across the sky, My heart is filled with the Holy Spirit, Whether I'm Raptured or I die. Yes, God imparted His message to me, His Word fitly spoken from Above, As apples of gold in frames of silver, He immersed me within His Love. I cannot in my own strength overcome, But through Jesus my destiny is bright, Though lost and blind my soul is redeemed, My Savior has filled me with His Light. Without God's inner peace, that He provides to me through His Holy Spirit, I don't know how I would have survived this long in this tremulous and chaotic life. Just knowing that I have His Spirit within me gives me strength that I could never fabricate on my own. It doesn't make sense, and I don't deserve it, but no matter how much I love the Lord, He still loves me more. I am blessed every day to know that even though I was once lost and I am now found. Even though I deserve the fires of hell, I will only experience the wonders of Heaven simply because I believed John 3:16 and John 14:6. :bible :amen: :flyup: Humbly

The reality now is that we won't be here much longer! That we should all search our hearts and the Lord's council that He give us His plans for the final battle.
