I can discuss the Rapture with only a couple of Christian friends. The rest look at me like I’m nuts. That’s beside the point. How can one not want to talk about it and often?!  I had 5 years of French, and I tested out of two years in college. I really took to it, even though I’m a science person. There have been very few people around to practice with. As frustrating as that is, this is obviously much worse. Thank Goodness for you all.

All signs seem to be pointing to this year and especially this summer. The tension is off the charts. Evil is on the offensive as never before in my lifetime. Considering all of the convergences, we seem to be there. I can’t imagine us being here past Trumpets.

Kent, your post got me to wondering about how many people each of us has in our daily life to talk about watching for the Rapture....I, myself, only have my husband and one other friend to talk with about watching for the rapture with any seriousness. A couple of others may comment about times looking Biblical or something like that which of course makes me want to talk about the soon Rapture of the church...but then they drift into....well we don't know, could be a hundred years from now.... and I am like uhhhh, no it's not!! Have you been paying attention??  And I live in the Bible belt!! Anyway, I was wondering about the others....how many people do you know in daily life that are watching close enough to talk to about it seriously?

So glad to have my RITAN family too....

Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries said “It’s the Blessed Hope, not the blasted hope!”  It is so disappointing that people are TOTALLY turned off by the subject. How can that be?! They want the subject changed immediately. How disappointed Jesus must be!  If one obeys the First Commandment, that person would be excited about the prospect of His return and want to know more.  Oh well. Their loss.

The conviction of the Holy Spirit of God is so overwhelming and convicting!

For us it is Joy unspeakable and overwhelming!

For others, an undeniable conviction of self incrimination!

The Bible warns the end times are like the days of Noah and Lot.  Perhaps not just in the events that mirrored their time frame of great wickedness and violence but how about the character of both men?  Noah was an obedient follower of the Lord whereas Lot was a carnal believer that kept making bad choices.

I’m coming to realize there are a lot of Christians that are like Lot … they are saved but they have pitched their tents towards the cities of this world and are charmed by the worlds delights and not everyone is going to receive certain eternal Crowns.

The crown of righteousness  2 Timothy4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Many will be empty handed and will regret their earthly choices as well as even being the scoffers as they made fun of us watching and warning that the rapture is near.  I’m sure they will justify their earthly living by twisting the command “we are occupying” … but the problem is … most of them are not also “looking up” because their grip on the world is far too tight.

The old saying that someone is "so heavenly minded that he/she is no earthly good." is usually trotted out.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Now is the only time to earn eternal rewards that will glorify God. In eternity, there will be no more opportunities to do that.

So, we are motivated to be busy as we know the time is short. Someone who thinks Jesus is not coming back for a long time is not going to have the same urgency or motivation.
