He gained nothing from this war. God gave him Egypt instead. There is no biblical and historical record that Tyre was laid siege for 70 years. From Isaiah 23:15, Tyre is a person, not a city. He is forgotten for 70 years speaks of his age. He seems fine before God from his birth to 69 years old. But when he turns 70 years old, he shall sing like a harlot. While virgin speaks of a faithful person in front of God, harlot means Tyre shall go apostasy and rebellion against God when he turns 70 years old. Yep, I was listening to Dr. David Jeremiah on the radio today while driving to the bigger city. He was talking about ... this is the devil’s world system. Satan gained the rights to it when Adam and Eve sinned and he gives his followers (that worship him) high position, power, fame, money for a short season. He tried to tempt Jesus in this passage, but Jesus rebuke him back with Scripture. Satan is on a short leash and his days are numbered. Still not sure if Satan himself chooses who the AC will be or he allows his elite followers running the show to choose their world leader. Either way, Jesus knows who it will be. Very soon Jesus will reverse the curse on this old world and restore it all back to the way it was in the Garden of Eden for the Millennium Kingdom.
