Thank you, Greg. Whether my theory is right or not, we are definitely in the season and very close to the Rapture. I personally believe in a 30 AD death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 40 years before the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. Whatever the case, with 30 AD or 32 AD we are rapidly approaching the 2,000th anniversary of the death burial and resurrection of our Blessed Saviour. -7 years for the Tribulation and we are very, very close. Perhaps this Spring if the time is cut short? (Matthew 24:22) I don't believe Russia will lead the Gog Magog coalition but could possibly be a part of it. Just my humble opinion. B-) Arthur -- just curious -- what's the reasoning behind 30 AD? edit after I posted: I read your post again and is it just because of the 40 years or are there other proofs? I was struggling with that the other day -- did a mini study on the number 40 for our small group meeting at church and was surprised the destruction of Rome didn't take a full 40 years after the Resurrection. Or was it maybe based on another marker... I seem to recall a teaching from Dr. Woods about the Kingdom being on the table until Matthew 12:24. Hmmm.... could that account for the time difference? I got 32 from Sir Robert Anderson, and he influenced Chuck Missler and several others. I actually have "The Coming Prince" on order to read through what he has to say and hopefully how it was calculated. In my lunch reading, Randy Nettles was arguing for 33 due to how Nisan 14 fell that year. Interestingly, both are different by a year in how they date Artaxerxes' decree (445 BC vs 444). Either way, the math of 173,880 days between the decree and Palm Sunday works out, but it does make you wonder about the details of the various reckonings. Maybe it's enough to know the general time, but I love the precision God uses for His set times so it sure would help to have the dates down as accurately as possible. Or maybe we should just be content that it's super close. Hi, Greg. IMHO, it is 30 AD. The forty year time period is very significant in the Bible as a time of testing.
