Apologies if this has been posted before. I am a bear of small brain, after all. I forget things. Except honey, of course.

? ??

The article is from 2017 but points to 2022.

Anyway, this star has some astronomers and Jewish scholars and mystics excited.

"The new star, announced last week by Larry Molnar, a professor of astronomy at Calvin College in Michigan, will certainly be unusual. It is a binary star, or two stars orbiting a central point. Molnar described it as “two peanuts sharing a single shell.”

In his observations, Molnar noted that the orbital period was decreasing at an accelerating rate, leading him to understand that the two stars were moving closer to each other. Based on a previous case of binary stars, Molnar predicted the two stars stars would collide in 2022, resulting in a massive explosion."

“[The collision] will release as much energy as the sun releases in its entire lifetime,” Molar said in a video about the discovery."

2022, eh? Perhaps right in time for a false Messiah to rise up and fraudulently use this to raise his credentials?

"For stargazers, the nova will be visible as part of the constellation Cygnus, adding a star to the Northern Cross star pattern. Though the nova will appear in a few years, the actual event took place 1,800 years ago. It has taken nearly two millennia for the light from the collision to reach earth."

Northern Cross, eh? So, God could be using this supernova to point people to the cross in a warning before or as the Tribulation is about to begin.

Interestingly enough, the 1800 years ago is an estimate. It could have actually been around 2,000 years ago. Hmmm.... :mail:

I wonder how many other events will occur in the same time frame that we don’t know about. Because Watchers are constantly scanning the “horizon” for any tid bit of information that might give us insight to when the Lord will be coming for us we see a whole lot more than the average person. We see all of this converging but they are oblivious to it so when it all comes together it will be a big surprise to everyone else, even professing Christians who aren't watching for it.

still hoping for 2021 Arthur and all. here is another star thing.

the new variant "omicron" sounded like a character in a science fiction story. its a greek letter, but omicron is also a star whose tail is only visible in uv light. the tail is 13 light years long. sometimes extremely dim, other times many times brighter than our sun. please forgive the rabbit trail Arthur. its just another weird convergence in 2021 of stuff we couldn't make up.

omicron ceti, or mira

No apologies needed, Regina. Fascinating stuff.

I would have studied astronomy in University but figured I didn't have the aptitude for it. I was worried I would have been just taking up space. 😉

My grandson and I discussed this over Thanksgiving. The super nova or death of two stars to create a new star was intriguing. It is forecast for very late spring to mid summer, should not have any impact on earth.
Seeing Jupiter so clearly in the eastern, northern hemisphere has been exciting as the plants are so aligned.
What wonders will we see from our Father’s home? Going to be amazing fir sure. :yahoo:
