It is very possible that new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei will be declared to be the Imam al-Mahadi, a/k/a the "rightful guided one." Mojtaba Khamenei is one of several Iranian clerical elite who are under U.S. sanctions. He is also a more youthful radical than his father ever was due to his age.
