ok - so I’m sitting here, having missed church do to a brewing something, I’m winning the battle thanks to holistic living. Anyway, I wanted to take a few thoughts, mostly to make sure I’m not neglecting anything.

The Lord impressed on me a few years ago, 2010, to start getting things ready for when we (believers) are gone (Harpazo) as a witness and help for those left behind. I will state, I am not a prepper, only because I don’t believe I will be here.

Anyway, I started buying (I’m not wealthy either), Bibles, tracks, writing a testimonial of where all the people went. Then I started putting together items, first aide, food stuff (none perishable), all kinds of things into buckets with tracks and New testaments. I have Christian videos, books, music (like most believers). Most of my family thought I was nuts, until everything went wack-a-doodle. I have a “bug out bag” in my car. Tracks in my office with a letter. My camper needs a Bible, track, and letter (gotta get that together).

Thoughts on what else we can do as a community of watchers to make ready to continue our witness for Christ once we have joined our Bridegroom?

To be clear - This is not to say, we should not be busy now about our Fathers business! :feedback

Indeed all well and good Tammie.

I've never been much of an evangelist, I can't see myself starting after I leave.  Seems to me that the Rapture and the Tribulation period were established by God to get peoples attention and to convict them of their poor choices!  Short of any list to achieve salvation or to carefully pray the sinners prayer, which doesn't save anyone.  If people ignored all of these helps when times were good how fruitful will they be then???

Medical supplies, food stuffs and whatever else is stored away IMHO will be of little help.  As just like preppers, cache's and hoarding will not help save anyone.  Rather just simply show how inadequate these things are in and of themselves!  Seems to me that God somewhere in His Word has promised as much!

As callous and harsh as this might seem, it think more in line with God's plans.  For when people are left behind, struggling and dodging the judgments of God, it would seem that God's agenda is not to save flesh but spirit.  And that will be done by committing oneself solely to Him.

It also seems to me that such measures also demeans what martyr's and peoples who were tortured suffered for the kingdom and lessens the nature of their heavenly rewards.

Perhaps I am totally out of step in this matter, and if I am may the Lord and you forgive me.  But either with or without such help and aids, men will have either left room in their hearts for God, or NOT!

 After we are gone, people will break into our homes, very frightened, confused people.  Why not keep our home well stocked with food, medical supplies, etc., for this very reason? Leave Bibles where they will easily found and letters/signs posted, perhaps inside cupboard doors, inside drawers, closets, and so on, telling the reader why we are missing and explaining that they can still receive salvation.  People will be hearing lies and deceptions about the rapture.  This gives us a chance to speak the truth and guide them to God’s word.

If these supplies keep people alive long enough to be saved, and even better yet, long enough to witness to others, think of the souls that can be won for God’s kingdom.  We can do something of influence and plant seeds even after we have been raptured away.

Look at believers in China who are persecuted and must go underground and hide their faith.  They memorize the Bible....entire books of the Bible!  How much more will new believers need any assistance and resources possible after the rapture?

Joan, my thought exactly!

TR - not to disagree with you dear brother, but I have to disagree

There will be great devastation, yes! There are those who will harden their heart. Buttttt, there are those who will be saved during the tribulation, God’s Word is the truth, they will need to hear the truth to be saved. If we are gone, yes I agree, God can provide other ways (the two witnesses & the 144 thousand Jewish men), but His Word can remain and speak truth.  I am not an evangelist either, yet I am when led by the spirit to speak his truth (yes, I have been a missionary for 12 years). Also, Joan is right, people will be scarred and desperate and they will try to survive, my home will be broken into, I have no doubt on this, so I will Hoffler them help at many levels. I just was looking for more ideas—- to offer hope! :prayer-hands:

About 6 years ago I felt led to start making up little survival packs in 1 gallon zip bags.  There is elastics, paper clips, first aid, soaps, food, pen and pencil and paper.   I have about 20 made up but not sure what to do with them.
