The Gog Magog invasion will take place during the Tribulation and, IMHO, at the very start of it. So there is no prophecy that needs to be fulfilled in that regard. Since there will very likely be some born again believers in this invading force, they can't have God's wrath poured out on them as we are not appointed to wrath. (1 Thessalonians 5:9) Therefore, the invasion would have to take place in the Tribulation. Anyway, we can see the formation of this Gog Magog confederacy right now. Turkey has established a naval base in Sudan. (Cush) Turkey also is supporting the government in Libya and has a significant military presence there. Iran is certainly willing to attack Israel. It also says that the fortress of Ephraim will cease. It also speaks of a great scarcity of people in the Land of Israel. IMHO, this speaks of events in the Tribulation as all these things seem to be paired together. IMHO, the war of Gog and Magog starts at the very, very beginning of the Tribulation (like on the first day) because the devil is not going to waste a second in trying to, once again, destroy Israel once the Restrainer is removed. After the Gog Magog coalition is destroyed, then I could see the peace treaty being signed. The destruction of Elam could be the trigger that starts the Gog Magog War. The world will rock back on its collective heels at the job the IDF has done. They have acquired so much new territory and have thoroughly defeated the immediate neighbors. These links are a lot of times just their opinions, not the gospel truth. As far as Ez 38, 39, Ps 83, Isaiah 17....IMO, these don't necessarily have to occur strictly within the 7 year trib. They could occur well before the beginning of the 7 yr. trib. and so could the catching away of the church, the rapture. I don't think we are to look for anymore pre rapture prophecies that need to occur before the rapture; but some events can occur in the meantime. I am looking for the Lord's return for us the church, not for a war that has to occur first before believers, dead and living, can be taken up. I hope that makes sense. Phil
