Geri's question, "Also I’m wondering why the millennium people (still in a sinful body) will be permitted to the Tree of Life leaves (tea)

Revelation 22:2

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."

Revelation 21-22 are talking about the eternal state, after the millennium

The New Heaven and Earth
Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

new heaven. new earth. no more death. no more crying. no more pain or mourning. no night. no more curse. no sun. there will still be death in the millennium.

Within New Jerusalem that comes down from heaven,

Rev 22:1 And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; 4 they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. 5 And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illuminate them; and they will reign forever and ever.

The church is already in immortal body form before the millennium.

The peoples who rebel against Jesus at the end of the millennium are mortals who die - rev 20:7-9, and all the unsaved dead are judged -rev 20:11-15, they are not given from the tree of life to heal them.

so who would need to eat something to be healed? the only thing that makes sense to me is that there are mortals at the end of the millennium who do not rebel against Jesus. they are alive when the rebels are killed (20:9) and kept alive by Jesus to enter the eternal state. they need to be changed, healed. so the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Thus all things are made new, including eternal life given to the people who live through the millennium and do not reject Jesus.

rev 21:55 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

Indeed the effects of the Rapture will be felt and seen, after the fact!

The leaves of healing will help extend life, again just as in the beginning!

Speaking of the Rapture, again May 30th or the 17th of the second month is most attractive!

Interesting Regina that you have the healing of the nations at the end of the tribulation after the 2nd Gog/Magog war against Jerusalem (Revelation 20).

I was thinking about this prophecy of Egypt and Ethiopia … many feel the Nile River will get nuked and Egypt will be uninhabitable for 40 years and I was placing the clean up time and healing of the nations starting at the beginning of the Millennium period.

Right now tensions are high for the water at the Aswan Dam …

Someone ask this question

In Ezekiel 29 is a judgment against Egypt and in verse 11 it declares that Egypt will not be inhabited for 40 years.

Jack Kelley’s response …

The prophecies of Ezekiel 25-26 were fulfilled when Babylon conquered the known world in the 6th Century BC, but Psalm 83 has never been fulfilled in the manner described. While Egypt was given to Nebuchadnezzar as a reward for his efforts to destroy Tyre (Ezek. 29:18-19) there’s no record of Egypt ever being made desolate for 40 years like the previous verses say. Therefore this prophecy awaits a future fulfillment. There’s an indication in Zechariah 14:16-19 that this will happen to Egypt during the Millennium. That being the case, it will not delay either the coming of the rapture or Daniel’s 70th Week which follows.

And

Gary Stearman: The Tower of Syene and the Possible Nuclear Destruction of Egypt
February  3, 2016

Who can ever forget what happened to Pharaoh and his army when they pursued the Israelites across the Red Sea? There’s a little-known, overlooked prophecy in the book of Ezekiel that predicts a tragic end to the nation of Egypt. Scripture says that Egypt becomes uninhabitable for 40 years! What could bring such devastating destruction? The prophet references a structure called The Tower of Syene in his writings, a full 2,500 years before it ever existed! This should convince you that God knows the future! What if we told you that this Russian-constructed monument, perhaps to Islam, sits in the shadow of the Nile River? And right next to the Aswan Dam! If a nuclear weapon were to destroy this massive structure, trillions of gallons of water would flood Egypt. Will the long-time enemies of Israel be destroyed by water once again? Gary and Bob take a deep look at this ancient prophecy.

This is my next favorite choice.  Would it be at midnight in Jerusalem on the 17th?

if the Aswan dam goes, there would be a lot of destruction. before Jesus returns, people will be scarce. few left compared to now. just that thought, "scarcer than pure gold", there would be so many bodies I don't know how they would be buried before Jesus cleans up the earth. vast destruction of manmade structures throughout the trib, especially during the last half. earth changes from earthquakes. this mess won't be in the eternal state at all.

Matt 24:22

Isaiah 13:11 So I will punish the world for its evil
And the wicked for their wrongdoing;
I will also put an end to the audacity of the proud
And humiliate the arrogance of the tyrants.
12 I will make mortal man scarcer than pure gold
And mankind than the gold of Ophir.
13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble,
And the earth will be shaken from its place
At the fury of the Lord of armies
In the day of His burning anger.

The time that the Rev 22 passage is talking about (22:1-5) is not during the millennium. how do we know that? one reason is because there is no longer any curse during the eternal state.

In the millennium, the curse is not completely removed. death is still present. the Lord will still discipline people who sin, and nations that do not celebrate the feast of tabernacles. Some countries remain desolate, for example Mal 1:2-4, Joel 3:17-20. The curse was because of sin. In the millennium, sin will still exist though be greatly restrained compared to now because the Lord will rule strongly. In the millennium, mortal population starts out with the saved from the sheep and righteous Jews able to enter. but during the 1000 years, people are born and there are sinful people present in the millennial age. Those who come against the Lord at the end of the millennium are killed, judged (Rev 20), but the Rev 20 passage does not say ALL in the millennium turn against Jesus. Any alive at the end of this time who have not rebelled are still mortal. they could only enter the eternal state, the new heavens and earth, enter the gates of New Jerusalem if they are changed. i think this is where the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Everyone who has already gone through resurrection and are saved do not need healing. They have a new body.

There is a temple in Jerusalem during the millennium, but not in the New Jerusalem that is coming to the new earth. Rev 21:22-25

In the eternal state, there is no more sin at all - Rev 22:14-15 the wicked will never enter the eternal state of new earth to live with God, but are separated out, away, at the great white throne judgment.

In the eternal state, there is no more curse and no more death. Death isn't abolished until Rev 20 events are done: 1Cor 15:26, Rev 21:4

Rev 22:1 And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;

In the thrones verse (Rev 22:3) there are two thrones in the eternal state, in New Jerusalem.

- Jesus is presently in heaven, seated with His Father on His throne (the Father's throne) - Revelation 3:21 The one who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His throne.

- during the millennium, Jesus will rule from Jerusalem on His own throne, the throne of David. Isaiah 9:7, Zech 6:12-13 (Jesus both priest And king on a throne)

- in the eternal state, both the throne of the Father and the throne of Jesus are present in New Jerusalem - Rev 22:3

Those who are privileged in mortal body to enter the kingdom of God that Jesus sets up, and those born in the 1000 years, will live longer lives in better earth conditions than we have ever seen. Other passages describe millennial conditions for example Is 65:20-25. Earth will be renewed, will be more fertile in the millennium - Amos 9:13

In Isaiah 60, offerings, gifts will be brought to Israel and to beautify the Lord's sanctuary. we know this is millennium because there is no temple in the eternal state. In Is 60, these are mortals bringing gifts to Israel, Jerusalem, the Lord's house; but in Rev 21:22-26, this is not millennium because there is no need for a temple any longer to meet with the Lord. it looks like its saved nations in eternity bringing gifts into New Jerusalem.

2Peter 3:7 says the present heavens and earth are reserved for a judgment of fire and destruction of ungodly men. Rev 20:7-9 says fire will come down from heaven and devour at the time of "Gog and Magog" move against Jerusalem. After this, and after the great white throne judgment, Rev 21 says a new heavens and new earth are made by God, and then New Jerusalem comes down to earth.

the tree of life is in the garden of New Jerusalem. so it is available in the eternal state. it would make the best tea ever.

anyhow, this is how i understand it for now. we see darkly now. all will be plain when we get there.

The 17th of May would be wonderful!

It's so wonderful to see the words of the Lord coming to pass and be fulfilled in this generation!

Sadly we must see so much of mankind and the nations of the Earth in open hatred, rebel against the Lord!

I just watched Amir's update and he said today is Shavuot. It was just livestreamed at about 1:00 central time.   That would be 9:00 pm in Israel.  So they are already on the 17th.  So maybe even midnight Israel time tonight.  So that is only a couple hours from now!  Interesting.  His update mentioned how Turkey and Iran are doing nothing.  Maybe they are planning a surprise. I am hoping I don't have to fix dinner tonight!
