My wife will spend part of her time watching these U Tube prepper videos where preppers will present their scary predictions of economic downfall, shortages, and on and on....

I tell her I wouldn't waste my time watching these preppers who can say anything they want, true or untrue.  But she is concerned, like what can we do?

We can pray, reach out to others, and we can vote, particularly this next November and in 2024.  These are the most powerful things we can do to change things.  Voting is something she has shied away from recent elections, but now I think is committed to it.

Vote for God first (as in be reconciled to Him through the Lord Jesus Christ) and everything falls into place. Then we can be prepped and prepared for what lies ahead.

Definitely vote in elections. Even if it is all rigged, by voting, you are bringing judgement down upon wicked people if there is shenanigans.

A lot of people have been saying things that are not coming true.

On Natural News, there was an article that you won't be able to have a driver's license in Canada without a vaccine as of November. I was really worried. Nothing happened.

There was talk about unvaxed being on lockdown as of Dec. 15. Nothing happened.

There was also talk about a lot of food shortages and prices going up a lot as of Oct. 15. Some stuff is out of stuck and prices have gone a bit up. However, it is not as bad as they made it out to be. (at least not as of Oct 15 as they predicted)

it's best not to listen to people who are too much into gloom and doom. We don't need more stress.

People who have business that sell survival stuff are going to get into a lot of gloom and doom because it is good for their business.

Scripture is full of verses about being prepared and if necessary taking up arms.

In my opinion only a foolish man wouldn't have 6 months of food and water and arms to protect yourself and your family.

It's my opinion that "ITS NOT ABOUT US" but about how God will use us in the last days.

The food, water and supplies you have stored may be used to help non-believers just prior to the rapture or they may be rations for those that have come to Christ during tribulations period.

If you wife is a believer who believes strongly in pre-pairing God has placed it on her heart for a reason.

I have fought giving up in many areas as well but scripture is clear. Work and study scripture until the day he returns.

I vote and am working as a precinct captain for the Republican party. You never know what God has planned.

Natural News does do that. They make bold predictions and then when they don't happen there is no acknowledgement or apology. They just move on to the next bold prediction.

They do need to be held accountable.

Boulder, there are people who don't have the means to stock up for  6 months. I saw a post on another forum about someone who was upset about the posts telling people to stock up. that person said that the posts are stressing her/him cause they can't do that.

Also, some who are not doing well financially and/or have health problems, might get upset to have people call them fools for not stocking up.

Fair point, Heidi.

It is wise to prepare. Everyone can do what they can with the means they have. God will take care of the rest.
