Indeed the point has been made more than once that all new technologies start off with good intentions. My point is that I'm not so sure that is always the case. Many who already embrace the dark side and are not only preparing for that final battle, but desire it wholeheartedly simply masquerade the future technologies again for a type of pre-conditioning for the unholy trinity! TR TR, I do see your point and have no doubt that there are quite a few new tech that have a more sinister purpose than what is presented to the public. We know that to be true because satan is the current ruler and has a long-term plan to try to thwart Christ. It really falls onto the shoulders of the believer to use discernment about what tech they use and how they use it. I find myself leery of more and more of the newer tech coming out because it almost seems like the powers that be no longer care that we connect the sinister dots and realize the tribulation plans there... I stop and ask myself why the veil seems to be dropping and why they don't seem to mind us knowing their agenda anymore? They become more brazen and uncaring because they also are mindful of the days of man! TR I have no doubts that many technologies originate from evil desires for its use but I also know when interacting with some of these things that I will not be hear when they are turned on the population. Ever since I became aware of "location services" on the phones I have thought they were marketed for their practical application but with a greater purpose in mind that was not shared with the consumer. One of the scariest technologies (to me, anyway) is the cell phone. It is literally Big Brother and no one is safe from it.E There doesn't seem to be a lack of people happy to be the first to share their videos with news agencies. There is no question in my mind that VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) will be an integral part of the deception, but I use it to enjoy a 3D racing simulation. (I'm a huge fan of lenticular paper and 3D photography, too! Think View Master). I marvel over it and then think how absolutely amazing Heaven will be! If we can do this, what must God be doing in His home?! I remember reading the manual for my friends smart tv and was dismayed by the small print that stated "Your use of this product indicates your acceptance of our privacy policy and that we can market any information collected". Something to that effect. So in essence, they can use the built in camera and microphone to collect data from you and sell it. Not for me! I'll stick with the older type. The only thing I care to watch is a bit of college football or the occasional movie. Maybe Law & Order but not much else. All of these AI devices that are being so heavily marketed right now, such as Siri, Cortana, Google Assistant, Alexa (I had to look their names up) will never see the inside of my house! Absolutely NOT! I don't even use Siri on my cell phone other than to ask her what zero divided by zero equals. :mdrmdr: I'm not "wired" for techno marvels. Sorry! TR :mdrmdr: Very funny! Well don’t bother asking Siri to read you a poem ... her response will be ... ”Rose are red; violets are blue. Haven’t you got anything better to do?” And if she gets a marriage proposal ... her priceless response is ... “My End User Licensing Agreement does not cover marriage. My apologies.” :mdrmdr: Good to know Sis. Never fall in love with a girl name Siri, or Alexa! Got it! TR Yep ... you might want to add Cortana to that list. Alexa claims she knows Siri “only by reputation” but she has a good working relationship with Cortana. All 3 to me sound like a bunch of airheads living in the clouds ... Virtual reality is another way to have what you want and to have it now. Also, think about where the Bible says that if you lust after a woman, you have already committed adultery with her. With virtual reality, you kill people, have sexual encounters, who knows what, all from the comfort of your easy chair. You don’t even have to lift a finger to sin and have what you want anytime you want it. B-) Maybe VR will become a popular item to own in hell in order to imagine smiles, air conditioning, and glasses of cool water...
“I’m not the marrying kind.”
