IMHO, one major difference between true and false prophets is the issue of servanthood! True prophets are servants of the Most High and serve only to please Him! False prophets are self serving in that they expect the Lord to serve them! Subtle but profound difference! TR True prophets fear the Lord! False prophets seek the regard of men! TR False prophets are in it for the profits. Amen Arthur -- I've watched so many prominent Christian leaders fall due to the trap of "gold, glitter, and girls" over my life time -- they forget what their focus should be -- spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ -- and it becomes more about airplanes, mansions, billboards, and other less savory things. As for me -- I would rather be a soul "billionaire" than a dollar billionaire as I know the eternal return on investment is far greater than those things that tarnish and rot away. For me Billy Graham, and while not perfect, set the standard. The standard and problems with prophets has long been established! Nothing new here! TR
