The Incredible Events Of The Last Supper In The Upper Room Illustrates Perfectly The Revealing Of The Man Of Sin At The Pretribulation Rapture Of The Church:

At the exact moment Judas goes from being the man of sin to the son of perdition, the scripture sayeth that he immediately goes ‘down and out into darkness,' while the disciples are ‘up in the air’ with Jesus.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (KJB)  Verse 1 is showing you our ‘gathering together unto him,' when you compare this to 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 you see clearly this is a reference to the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church. This also defines the term the ‘day of Christ' that we see in verse 2 as also being a reference to the Rapture of the Church.

“He then lying on Jesus’ breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the sop, Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.” John 13:26,27,30 (KJB)

Up to this point in the three-and-one-half-year ministry of Jesus, Judas has distinguished himself as the devil that he always was. In fact, you could quite accurately say that Judas was the ‘man of sin’ from the very beginning. . . .

The disciples are all asking Jesus who the betrayer is, and Jesus tells them plainly to watch and see who dips the sop in the dish, because that’s the guy. At the moment Judas takes his sop from the dish (SOP is son of perdition, just coincidentally), Satan enters into him and he becomes the Son of Perdition, a type of Antichrist. But watch what happens next. At the exact moment Judas goes from being the man of sin to the son of perdition, the scripture sayeth that he immediately goes ‘down and out into darkness.' Darkness being a type of the time of Jacob’s trouble and the great tribulation. But where are the disciples? They are up in the air with Jesus Christ in the upper room!  (If you’re looking for a sign, this is it!)

This is what Paul is talking about in 2 Thessalonians, when the man of sin is revealed, however that happens, the Church will be safely taken UP in the air to be with Jesus Christ. John shows us this in type, Paul shows us this in prophecy, and one day very soon we will live out those verses when our beautiful Saviour, Jesus of Nazareth, catches us up and away to be with Him forever. So where is the exact moment of the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church? It’s contained in the comma between ‘be revealed' and ‘the son of perdition' in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

Patricia- that's interesting about AC and Judas and disciples and us in the upper room!  thanks! the more dark and evil it gets the more need encouragement to believe in pre-trib rapture...this doesn't even begin to compare to the depraved evil and the darkest dark of the days of Jacob's Trouble...

thank You Jesus for taking the wrath due us, for us....we will never experience it because of God's grace!

speaking of dark...the other day our electricity went out when we were about to turn lights out to go to bed...we could not believe how extremely dark it was in our house...also, i went to Haiti on a short mission trip one time and we were on a flat rooftop at night & slept in a partially covered/enclosed part of the roof...i've never seen such literal darkness...must've been a new moon...it was like you could almost feel it like a thick blanket or something- was a long long time ago, but my hubby remembered me talking about it and said is this almost like "Haiti dark?" the other nite and i was thinking the same thing...

thank You Jesus for being the Light!  please shine through us the rest of our time here on Earth!

GratefulforGrace,

You might want to get a few battery operated white fairy lights.  I got mine at Dollar General … so far I have  6 sets of white lights and 2 sets of multicolor.  I like the white better.  I use every night in the family room.  Some came with a timer and the newer ones I have to turn on / turn off myself.  Its very cozy in the room at night and I’m glad to have both version cause if I wake up in the middle of the night … the room is still bright enough with the ones that were not on the timer.  I save on electric too …  it uses 2 AA Duracell batteries and they last about 6 - 7 weeks before having to switch out the batteries.

good idea, geri, to have beautiful battery lights staying on in the living room at nite- would've been very handy for crazy unprovoked (no storms/wind etc) power outages!  we do have 2 strands of those on a design i did on our bedrm wall with a rope cross and ribbon ichthus and we really enjoy them when we remember to turn them on in the evening- (don't like them on while sleeping though so don't do the timer.)
