Friends:

I would like to provide a little prologue to the rant below.  I have come across so many individuals (after I was born again) that attacked me and de-friended me simply for reciting God's Word.  Eventually, I learned (after many hard battles) that it is easier just to silently wipe your feet and move away from those that don't want to hear the Truth than to continue having them argue and scream in your face.  I have somewhat learned who is open to God's inerrant Word and try to focus and exert my energy at that opportunity.  It is just not worth it to argue anymore with those that have deaf ears.  Thus, I unleashed a lot of my pent-up anger and frustration and wrote the poem below more to myself than to anybody else.  I hope this is as helpful to someone out there fighting against the angry mob and becoming frustrated as it was helpful to me.

THE GREATER PART OF VALOR

The enemy stalks ravenously throughout society,

With a proclivity to discomfit in a vociferous manner,

Venomous phrases, attacks, and verbal antagonisms,

Are the colors emblazoned on their demented banner.

Avoid traveling the inroads contrived by these unsaved cretins,

It would be an arduous task to find a petulance fouler,

Extract yourself from their opprobrious abyss,

AND REMEMBER: RESTRAINT IS THE GREATER PART OF VALOR!

Their only recourse for equilibrium is to steal your Hope,

They are fires in the forest that seek evergreens to scorch,

Cloaking their hatred behind a veil of purity,

They relentlessly maraud for a keg of powder to torch.

Disregard the demeaning utterances that retch from their maws,

It would be an arduous task to find a petulance fouler,

Don’t succumb to the antagonisms that emerge from their depths,

AND REMEMBER: RESTRAINT IS THE GREATER PART OF VALOR!

Pay no heed to their reckless prattle,

Place no credence in their berating chatter,

Diminutive minds babble their strident rhetoric,

While concocting phantasms of demonic matter.

Don’t respond to their abrasive and ignoble stratums,

It would be an arduous task to find a petulance fouler,

Don’t enter the dark realm of their opprobrious abyss,

AND REMEMBER: RESTRAINT IS THE GREATER PART OF VALOR!

Relegate to oblivion their attempts to weaken your Walk,

Attain your rainbow despite their perplexing afflictions,

Their frenzied words are leveled only in malice,

Faith will prevail when you hold to your Godly convictions.

Search for the prism of sunlight beyond their befuddled mass,

It would be an arduous task to find a petulance fouler,

Silent wisdom towers supreme when ignorance spews,

RESTRAINT IS ALWAYS THE GREATER PART OF VALOR!

Pick your spots and choose your words wisely.  When opportunity arises, go for it.  When anger and foul words arise, walk quietly away.

God bless you all in your attempts to bring others to a saving Faith in Jesus before it is too late!

Humbly

Humbly —- been there as well! I agree, just silently wipe your feet and continue to live Christ. Would you agree when I say some of the darts are even thrown by believers... just wipe your feet and pray for the lost and believers to have their eyes enlightened.... thank you! :prayer-hands:

I would absolutely agree with you that, unfortunately, many "darts are even thrown by believers".    In one portion of a stanza above, my whole thought process was around believers, or CINOs, that have not read the Word of God in context, or they simply don't believe it:

They are fires in the forest that seek evergreens to scorch ... Cloaking their hatred behind a veil of purity ... They relentlessly maraud for a keg of powder to torch.

I look forward to meeting you on the other side!

Not casting our Pearl's before swine!  Discretion or discernment, the better part of valor.  The darkness of the world will always be shamed by the light of Christ!  TR

Speaking few words, Jesus sure knew well,  completely guided by His Father's wisdom and Spirit, to walk away from the prattlers,  ~

~ ` Of course we realize Jesus is God, . . and we, as His children are blessedly drawn to His amazing Patience ~~  Christ's Humanity is our Saving Grace, Hallelujah!  ~~~  , we see Him totally in control . .  ~~ for us, it takes  a lifetime knowing Him as He desires .   . .   in the midst of this crazy world, this we know, our Great Shepherd always holds us close ~ ~

Indeed the greater part of our Christian experience and our calling, is to be led by His Spirit!  Letting Him lead our prayers as well as our footsteps!  TR
