I have seen a few videos of people using this communication method with their dog or cat. I find these videos absolutely fascinating.

I am sure there will be animals in eternity and we’ll be able to communicate with them. Perhaps even during the Millennial Kingdom. In the meantime, God’s creation and the companion animals He has given us continues to amaze me.

Here is one example with Bunny the dog:

Here is one with Billi the cat:

I can only imagine the things my former pets would say to me if they could talk. I might have to run away! 😉

That is a great idea!  I would love to know what my sassy cat would say to me, although he speaks volumes with his eyes.   KoKo the gorilla learned sign language, I thought that was amazing.

Reminds me of a Dean Koontz book I read (Watchers) where a dog could arrange Scrabble tiles into sentences to communicate.

I can't wait to be able to communicate with the animals!  God's creatures are so precious. Such wonders ahead of us!   Thank you for sharing, Arthur.

You are welcome. Yeah, eyes have not seen, ears have not heard what lies in wait for us. Smile

I do wonder if we will be able to telepathically communicate with animals? Who knows what God has in store for us?

I find it amazing that a cat like Billi at age 11  picking up this form of communication so fast. I’d be curious to see a cat starting it from a kitten. I think Siamese cats would likely be the best at it. They are extremely clever.

This video made me laugh. The cat genuinely seemed frustrated at being unable to communicate its thoughts.

i've had lots of thoughts in the past about animals talking...i hope and pray that God will do as He did with Balaam's donkey and "open the mouth" of all animals- especially our pets in Heaven &/or the New Earth!

we are silly with talking to our pets a lot and occasionally answer back for them (my daughter takes it to a truly conversational level) but honestly, the Bunny the dog video stressed me out...i'm not sure how to explain it...

i got frustrated for the dog...i wanted to help her tell her mom to just let her be a dog!  i can't imagine that she could understand why she would be taught to say what she wants and then not get it!  i guess it's like a 2 year old human, but at least you know they will eventually understand...

and there is the whole thought process i couldn't help but have of why are you spending sooo much time and effort doing this??  if you have that much patience and determination to teach non-verbal communication, i wish you would help people with disabilities (instead of your dog being able to say yes to going on a "poop walk"- what's wrong with a good ole fashioned tail wag as she goes to the door?!)

anyway....i do wonder if animals did talk in the garden of Eden (as i've heard why was their apparently no lack of surprise of the the serpent talking?) and will talk again in Heaven/New Earth...i think so...i hope so...i'll wait til then and make up their responses in the meantime...

Just so my dog doesn’t learn to laugh!  She has seen too much.  LOL

I think companion animals just like the attention. It's a way to spend time with them and stimulate them. Bunny is a poodle cross and poodles are very smart animals. I have found, in my experience, that smart animals when they are bored, turn to mischief.

I do know what you mean, though. People can take things too far.
