Speaking about invasive bushes/trees .. anybody dare plant the orange trumpet bush? I did back a few moons ago. It was only a harmless stick with a BIG warning on the box it came in that I got from Walmart garden center. Took about 4 years before I saw results and beautiful orange flowers. I planted it away from the house … in a flower bed near the driveway where we parked the cars. I had to move out and then last fall I drove past the old home and saw the new owner by the roadside so I stopped to talk to her and asked if she is enjoying that bush. She gave me the evil eye and said that bush was climbing all over and she had to have it professionally removed. :mdrmdr: It is definitely invasive in the right climate, yeah. So far, so good up here. It will need a severe pruning back soon or it will engulf the sister's house, though. I think I encouraged it too much with regular fertilizing and water. Lol. YIKES!!!  Well, it's not kudzu but some people say it's close. My Sarcococca (Sweet box) hedges are in bloom. It has delicate white flowers and a a very pleasant fragrance.
