Seems to me that when we get to Heaven and see God, His longing to bless us individually will be His greatest joy!

We'll have new bodies, new names, new mansions, new glories to review, new friends and whatever else we can think of.  All things will be new!

Our loving Father wanting only the best for each of us will spoil us...holy!  Wanting and lacking for nothing that the Father hasn't already provided and gifted us with.  Even all the more, He shall continue to do so throughout eternity!!!

So too Jesus, who will forever lavishly present gifts unto His Bride and Wife!  No wonder we'll be spending all of eternity just simply saying "thank you" Lord!  Perhaps it would be fitting to begin thanking Him now for all the things He already does.

And the nature of His gifts will be so personal, so fitting, and so uniquely glorious!  He as the giver of these gifts will be made all the more holy in our eyes, as we are made all the more holy in His!

Doesn't look like this is something many have given any thought towards.  But it seems to me that in an intimate and personal loving relationship, gifts and blessings continue!

Perhaps the title of this thread has put people off.  But I for one find this to be an exciting thought!  I'm not saying that this is a revelation from God, but I can surely see this as quite plausible.

His love for us, and ours for Him shall not diminish through eternity.  But certainly the opposite is true.  Just as in long term relationships here on Earth, with time they are expressed differently.  But they become ever so much sweeter!

Remembering all the while that our relationship with Christ is truly multifaceted.  He will be our Saviour, King, the love of our souls and Bridegroom and Bride!

This thought excites me more than rewards, and glorious accommodations that Heaven will provide.

For me, there are only a few things I care about in eternity. Being in the presence of God and Jesus, living in a pain free, sinless body, and the relationships with the saints. I’ve never spent much time wondering what anything else will be like because my feeble brain is ill equipped to process those kind of thoughts. The best I can muster is infinitely puny to what the reality of it will be. Even the best artistic renderings I’ve seen are pale and boring to me so I just don’t spend any time trying to imagine it. I understand the excitement for all who like to think about it but I’m just not one of them. I would, however, love to read what others are looking forward to. I remember a similar topic came up on the old Rita site and I found it very interesting so I’m hopeful others will share their thoughts here. I even recall MyWhiteStone and I had a lengthy discussion about football. Smile

I found Randy Alcorn’s “Heaven” book to be thought provoking.  He seemed to put a lot of research and effort into writing it.  Hmmm ... football played in outer space ... sounds very intriguing B-)

Seems like one could say that the construction and appearance of the New Jerusalem is only but one of the ways in which the Lord shall spoil the saints of God!
