Loz, my brother, I completely agree that God will fight for Israel as in Ez 38-39. Israel will know this and recognize the hand of Jehovah. I am also of the mindset that America as one of the powerful allies for Israel in today’s political environment will not be able to assist with this event. Two things lend me to America’s inability to help, a significant and devastating attack that cripples our country or the rapture which will also significantly cripple the country. I’m praying earnestly for the later. :prayer-hands: Well...many great thoughts here. My two cents..the U.S. is a blessed country and the majority of people are eating, drinking, marrying and blindly carrying on with minimal awareness to the endtimes. My speculation: the rapture happens and then like the days of Noah..we go up and the hammer comes down with tribulation for the entire planet. Maybe U.S. gets wrath with an astroid strike and bitter waters. Whatever happens, we are at the doors now with enough signs to know time is very short. These folks don't seem to be backing down, but maybe they are just being like a blow-fish when threatened? :unsure: With the sanctions we are putting on them to restrict even more of their economy... are we backing a hurt, wounded dog into a corner and making them feel desperate? Do they feel they have the support of their big brothers, Russia and China, to help them pick a fight with the US? Thoughts? :scratch: My speculation is Trump wants to provoke Iran to war by pushing them to corner with no way out. Trump has blocked pretty much all their revenues from oil and metals. If Trump does that to China, Russia, or any other major countries by sanctioning and blocking their exports, war has already broken out. Iran shall fight back, including prompting their proxies Hezbollah and Hamas to cause trouble on Israel. This could be their first step fighting back Trump. See, that is exactly what I was wondering about. With the rest of the Middle East countries, Trump's show of power has earned him respect... they may not like him, but they seem to respect him. But Iran is a different thing all together. Their leadership folks are Shiite muslims. Amir Tsarfati and Joel Rosenberg both explain the difference between Sunni and Shiite really well, but it really comes down to their eschatology. The Shiite (paraphrasing this in my own words) basically believe that they need to bring about full blown war on all infidels in order to usher in their long-awaited Mahdi. In essence - war with America is a good thing in their eyes since they believe America is the "Great Satan." This is why I have had a bad feeling this last week as I watch our government's power moves toward Iran. Praying that the rapture truly is the reason that the US is decimated before the GT.
