There are a few reasons Feast of Tabernacles could be the time of the rapture.  The Mount of Transfiguration took place during this feast where Jesus appeared in his glory with Moses and Elijah.  Peter even offered to build a booth for each of them in honor of the feast.  This Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17) seems to be a picture of the rapture as Moses and Elijah are thought to be the two witnesses who have a ministry during the 7 year tribulation.

In Leviticus 23:39 the first and last days of Tabernacles is referred to as a Sabbath rest.  Paul also refers to the rapture as a "rest for the people of God" (Hebrews 4).  All citizens of Israel are to live in booths during this week to celebrate being brought out of Egypt.  Interesting that currently, all Israel is under lockdown now because of coronavirus; perhaps there is a correlation here.  The seventh day of Tabernacles is called Hoshanah Rabbah;  "The Zohar says that while the judgment of the new year is sealed on Yom Kippur, it is not "delivered" until the end of Sukkot, so the judgments begin after that."

There is an interesting planetary lineup, the dawn of October 2 and the dawn of October 3 this year, starting on the Feast of Tabernacles.  Venus, the bright and morning star, symbolic of Jesus, lines up with Regulus, the king star, which is the star at the bottom of the sickle of Leo.  The constellation of Leo the lion stands for the messiah coming in judgment.  Also interesting that the full moon that occurs a couple days before this is known as the "Harvest" moon.

I really love your hopeful and thoughtful observations about Tebernacles, Earthangel.  I'm continuing to hope big, despite past hopes for this feast not having materialized.  Particularly that 4th blood moon that I watched and watched for several hours in 2015...

Thank you sincerely.

I hate to bring it up, but for next year on the Essene calendar, if you go to Yom Kippur 2028 and subtract 1260 plus 1290 years, you end up on the Day of Assembly. I have poked around the internet and some people say the Day of Assembly is for the white throne judgement.  So, for now I am letting it be already reserved and still hoping for Torah calendar's Sukkot date for this year.

I wonder if the tradition of the Wedding Huppah and the Feast of Tabernacles are connected,  somehow?

I found this article insightful.  Here is a snippet:

Sukkot symbolizes the “Marriage Supper”. We may not realize this but one just has to consider it from Jewish OT scripture to recognize it. After the Trumpets have called for repentance and preparation, the High Priest reappears from behind the veil and then the people burst into joy. They make “booths” and feast for seven days dressed in white garments, many wear long robes pure and clean and carry palm branches in joyful procession singing “Hosanna” welcoming Messiah. It is the season of greatest joy as God comes to Tabernacle with them. Anyone who has been in Israel at the Feast of Sukkot will see the similarities. The streets are full of people dancing, singing, waving palms, and in joyful procession carrying on their shoulders the Torah (the written Word of God) which they have removed out of the Synagogues. Remember in the last study how the Ark which holds the Torah is symbolic of Jesus and the Torah is symbolic of the Living Word. It is taken out and carried in the streets for all to see.

From that same article:

The Tabernacle is a visual depiction of the spirit dimensions, and hidden within it behind the veil there is the “Holy Place” in which God dwells. It is where the “Cloud of His Presence” overshadows the Mercy Seat in the “secret place of the Most High…under the shadow of the Almighty” Psalm 91:1. Psalm 27:5 says “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion (Strong’s Concordance 5520 – tabernacle, tent), the secret place of His tabernacle” and Psalm 31:20 says, “You shall hide them in the secret place of Your Presence…You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion” (Strong’s 5521 – the plural of 5520 – booths or sukkah – Leviticus 23:42,43, Nehemiah 8:14-17). The Bible talks of the “secret place” of God’s Presence in the CLOUD of his Glory.

Psalm 27:5 kind of jumped out at me.  :mail:

Thanks Blue and Arthur for additional insights on Feast of Tabernacles.  Before now, I think I put too much emphasis on the last trump for Rosh Hashanah.  It appears there is also a trumpet at Tabernacles that could apply.  Also Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur and Feast of Tabernacles seem to be connected.  Yom Kippur is connected to Rosh Hashanah because God seems to be making a final judgment of who are the saints and closing the books for the year.  Feast of Tabernacles seems to be connected to Yom Kippur as the judgment declared by God on Yom Kippur takes place after the last day of Feast of Tabernacles.

Amy posted this at the end of the thread that I'm about to delete at Earthangel's request.

(Sorry Earthangel.  Last night it looked to me that the extra post had been deleted.  Better late than never?)

Later -- a little harder than I thought...

I’m good with “super-imminent”, “final generation”, and prefer 2020 as 2019 is now past - don’t really care to consider 2022 Cry
This is a perfect weekend, Harvest moon, Mars in retrograde with the moon, the fish sign going upward, and the King Star “Regulus” in right alignment, ... I say bring it! Let the wedding feast begin! My garments are on, watching, waiting, busy, praying! Come Lord Jesus, your church awaits :prayer-hands: :prayer-hands:

Thank you, MyWhiteStone, for your efforts deleting my extra post.  I'm typing on a small tablet and it's a bit awkward, not always responding predictably.

As far as the last trump, I found a very interesting article connected to  the John Ankerberg website, claiming that Paul was most likely referring to a military trumpet, and not one connected with a feast day.  "in Bible times, when they went into war, they had a "last trump" that would be blown that would tell the fighting men, "Your time of fighting is over, it is time to go home and rest.""  Additionally, "the Romans had a first trump that signaled when a man was to start his watch on guard duty, but then they had a 'last trump', that signaled that his time on guard duty was over and it was time for him to go home."  Both these last trumps apply to Christians as "watchers" and as fighters in a spiritual warfare.

So the "last trump" can be blown at any time, not necessarily connected with Rosh Hashanah or any feast.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

Sounds like we will hear:

1.  The Lord’s cry of command

2.  Then the archangel’s voice

Any ideas of which archangel “voice” we will hear?  Wikipedia says
Book of Enoch mentions  seven archangels: Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Saraqael, Raguel, and Lucifer.  Well we can cross off Lucifer.  The Life of Adam and Eve lists the archangels as well: Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael and Joel. - Fair Use -

3. Then the sound of the trumpet of God

Just wondering now if that is God’s voice that sounds like a trumpet or is there a trumpet in heaven (under lock and key) reserved for the rapture event?

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
