Thank you, churchgal. I have to remind myself daily to keep things in perspective. I am very excited about the Rapture but the race is still on. Smile
I long to meet my father again and so many other relatives in that great reunion in the sky, yeah. It's going to be so wonderful to see you and your daughter together again. I think all us here on RITAN will be crying tears of joy. Smile Until then, I think she is watching up in heaven with that great cloud of witnesses, cheering you on. Smile

With respect, I think Jesus made this clear.

Matthew 24:42-44 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Knowing it is near, even at the very door is one thing, but knowing the day and hour is another.

True enough, but we are comparing apples and oranges here!!!

I am saved true enough!  And I have always stated no man knows the day or hour!!!

Scripture makes it abundantly clear point, no man in his own authority can claim such knowledge!  So then I refer to God's authority with any release of  knowledge!  That's the difference here!

Yet only time will tell!

So sad that so many finds this a bothersome endeavor!

God is concerned with every jot and tittle in connection with the fulfillment of His word!

And on the slightest chance ever of being an inspired thought from Him, He would also marvel at the blowback!

Good thing Paul was considered a major prophet or we would have never embraced the Rapture as heartfelt as we have!

Don't all of Matthew 24 and 25 concern the second coming, so Jesus there is describing distinctly post-Rapture events?  It has been a debate inside my head ever since I spent many hours listening to Andy Woods YouTubes last year.  It's not a challenge, just wondering...

I personally feel this saying “no man knows the day or the hour” Jesus was giving out a clue … and it has nothing whatsoever to do with the rapture.  The Matt 24 passage is all about the disciples talking about when will Jesus set up His Kingdom for the millennium age (2nd Coming)  and has nothing to do with the rapture event.  Many Jews associate the phrase “no man knows the day or the hour” with the Feast of Trumpets.
