For if the Rapture itself doesn’t speak to Jewish hearts why would a date tied into a Jewish feast day??? Which begs the question, is their blindness of Jesus ordained of God?! Ergo He speaking in parables while with them!? For their stiff necks, unbelief and constant idol worship! TR Christ’s ministry lasted 3 1/2 years and they received Him not! 3 1/2 years into tribulation and they still will not receive Him! So if the Rapture should fall on a Feast day what purpose would it serve!? TR The Jews have a lot of beliefs already about Rosh Hashana, see link below: For example, if the dead were resurrected this Rosh Hashana, some might believe, reference reason 2 at above link: 2. Yom Teruah – ‘Day of Awakening Blast’ / Jewish belief is that the resurrection of the dead will occur on the feast of Trumpets. Also Jesus may have been speaking their lingo and referring to his coming back on Rosh Hashanah when he said regarding the time of the rapture that no man would know the day or the hour, reference reason 8 at above link: 8. Yom Hakeseh – The Hidden Day / It was ‘hidden’ because they didn’t know the exact day it would begin due to the fact that it is the only feast that starts on a new moon. Thus it was a two day feast because they didn’t want to celebrate it on the wrong day. Concerning Rosh HaShanah, the Jews would typically say “Of that day and hour no one knows.” Then again, if the 7 year tribulation starts shortly thereafter, there is another tie-in to Rosh Hashanah, reference #7 at above link: 7. The time of Jacob’s trouble – There shall be great tribulation in Israel such as never was since there was a nation. So to me, Rosh Hashanah is a high watch every year, for all the reasons and verses listed at the above site. Even more so, this year for the probability that it is a shemitah year, possibly starting a jubilee year. However, it is a high watch, not a given, because we can never be certain our count of years is correct as so much time has gone by. I think the shemitah speculation is mostly based on what has happened with Israel coming back to the land in the last century. Then again, there is Luis Vega's timeline where the 2520 days of the tribulation line up perfectly starting on Shemini Atzeret (the last day of the Jewish fall festivals this year), with midpoint landing on a Passover and the last day ending on a Rosh Hashanah. I wonder how often that lineup happens? I'm not one to get caught up in remarks about Jews coming late to belief in Yeshua. There are many messianic Jews that have come to belief already; I am always learning interesting things concerning God coming from the Jewish aspect taught by Jonathan Cahn, Rabbi Sobel and Rabbi Schneider on Christian TV and feel especially blessed when they pray for and bless the audience. Though the majority may "come late to the party", so it is also with the gentiles, as the church is really only a select few made up of both Jew and gentile at the time of the rapture. Then after that, it is 144,000 Jews who take up evangelizing during the tribulation. After the tribulation, this is said about the Jews in Zechariah: Zechariah 8:22-23 New King James Version 22 Yes, many peoples and strong nations
Shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem,
And to pray before the Lord.’
23 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” ’ ”
