Just curious to know your view on ....

Where does the Marriage Supper take place?  In heaven or on earth during the start of the Millennium kingdom?

How long is the celebration?  7 days, 7 weeks, 7 years or longer?

The guests:  O.T. Saints & Trib Saints - will they have their new glorified bodies at the time of the celebration?  If the feast occurs in heaven, when do they get their new bodies?

Geri7, I have shared my thought on Marriage Supper of the Lamb few years ago on few forums. Here we go.

Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Most of us agree that Jesus did not finish his last supper with his disciples. He has promised them that he would finish the Passover seder with them in his Father's kingdom.

But while we search through the entire book of Revelation, since it foretells all the major events in tribulation, we couldn't find this Passover seder which Jesus has promised, except the marriage supper of the Lamb in Revelation 19. The answer is simple. The marriage supper of the Lamb "is" the Passover seder Jesus has promised during the last supper. And this event shall be held in his Father's kingdom,on a future Passover Nisan 14.  And since Jesus returns right away with his armies after this marriage supper, it also implies to us that Jesus shall return on a future Nisan 15.

2nd Coming,  that is a VERY interesting point of it occurring on a Passover Feast!  That makes perfect sense.  I’ve heard a few views out there and I’ve ponder them but I like your view the best. :good:    Thank you for your input from your studies.

The Wedding Supper takes place on earth following the Tribulation.  Guests are invited, as is the Jewish custom.  There will be mortal guests present, as the Bride will consist of the immortal saints.

6 On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare
a feast of rich food for all peoples,
a banquet of aged wine—
the best of meats and the finest of wines.
7
On this mountain he will destroy
the shroud that enfolds all peoples,
the sheet that covers all nations;
8
he will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears
from all faces;
he will remove his people’s disgrace
from all the earth.
The Lord has spoken.
9 In that day they will say,
“Surely this is our God;
we trusted in him, and he saved us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in him;
let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
10
The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain;
but Moab will be trampled in their land
as straw is trampled down in the manure.
11
They will stretch out their hands in it,
as swimmers stretch out their hands to swim.
God will bring down their pride
despite the cleverness[a] of their hands.
12
He will bring down your high fortified walls
and lay them low;
he will bring them down to the ground,
to the very dust.

Isaiah 25:6-12

Ancient Jewish eschatology taught that a seven year “time of trouble” would come upon the earth before the coming of the Messiah. During that time of trouble, the righteous would be resurrected and would enter the wedding chamber where they would be protected from the time of trouble. Today that seven year period is referred to, by Christians, as the Tribulation, and as Birth Pangs by the Jews. After 7 years in Heaven the Groom, Christ, will bring His wife to Earth and at the time of His Second Coming He will introduce her to the community on Earth.

IX. Ancient Wedding Practice: Marriage Supper
After seven days in the wedding chamber, the bride and bridegroom would emerge and participate in a feast with friends and family. There would be joyous celebrating during this feast. The feast would conclude the wedding celebration.

Jesus’ Fulfillment: Marriage Supper

As the bride and bridegroom celebrated with a joyous wedding supper, so Jesus and His bride, the church will celebrate the marriage. Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints) Then the angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'”. Revelation 19:6-9

:groan   well I’m going to do my hardest by staying alert and making sure my place setting at the Kings table doesn’t have “a cup named Joe” on it.  :negative:  Instead ... “It will be ..... a cup of TEA ... from the Tree ... for me”. :whistle:

Psst ... the inside joke of the “cup named Joe” is ...

A few years ago when the office needed donuts for their meetings, I would go over to Dunkin Donuts and pick up 1 box of various donuts and a bag of munchkins.  Well this one worker behind the counter said real quickly “do you want a cup of Joe” with your order?   I never heard that phrase before so I said “no thank you … I do not know a Joe so I don’t need to buy a cup for him.”  I thought it was a cup with Joe’s name on it she was trying to sell.  She gave me this weird look and the guy behind me in line busted out laughing.  He then clued me in what a “cup of Joe” meant.  I was totally embarrassed walking out of there.  It’s terrible what non coffee drinkers must go through …. good thing its going to change on the eternal side. :yes:

LOL Geri7.  Indeed David and many others here are walking encyclopedia's.   I lead with my heart.  My head then has to follow whether it's ready or not! And it usually isn't. :unsure:
