This change also helps improve the browsing experience in long-running discussions with many pages of replies. If you notice anything that doesn't seem to be working correctly or have any feedback, please let me know. — Richard G. My take is AC shall come from Vatican, while the false prophet shall come from Saudi Arabia, either from Mecca or Medina. AC shall be 70 years old when he seizes power in Vatican. The false prophet is an Islamic figure whose identity is unknown for now. He is king of the south in Daniel 11:25-27. His identity shall be known when he battles with AC the king of the north during the first half of tribulation. This battle can only last one year. After they battle with each other, they come up with a plan. But according to God, their plan shall not prosper. Daniel 11:27 And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed. I think the False Prophet will rise up "from the land," as the First Beast rises up "from the sea," indicating a Gentile origin. He is from the nations, and the False Prophet is Jewish. Just my opinion. I won't insist upon it, though I also think the False Prophet will appeal to verses such as this one to establish himself as someone God promised to send. It will be a lie, of course. TxThom...I just saw somewhere recently...maybe it was on Ritan...or just on YouTube...that the pope and the head of the Mormon church had met together...very interesting! I don't think the False Prophet can be known before he steps fully into the role. We certainly have enough uncapitalized false prophets these days, just as we have an abundance of antichrists, but the main role won't be filled until we're gone, as you mentioned. The pope would be in a good position for that role because he is the leader of what is likely the biggest "Christian" church currently in existence. But so would the leader of the mormon church, particularly in light of wiki's description of that role: "The President of the LDS Church is the church's leader and the head of the First Presidency, the church's highest governing body. Latter-day Saints consider the president of the church to be a "prophet, seer, and revelator" and refer to him as "the Prophet," a title that was originally given to Smith. If there was an established islamic leader accepted by all, that would also be a good candidate for the job. True, but that's why I said that about the ac. We wont be here so who cares. I'm just personally curious if the bible says anything about knowing who the false prophet is before we fly.
