Hello siblings,

Here is an excerpt:

"Dr. Goodman believes this is “stage-setting” for the end-of-the-age fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39, but said if it isn’t, then a scene very close to this will mount the same stage with the same cast very soon.

Not everyone agrees for various reasons (differences over whether Israel is dwelling safely or not, prophecy about Elam needs to be fulfilled, perhaps a Psa. 83 war needs to take place, etc.), but I think Dr. Goodman nailed it."

the second paragraph is not very encouraging. are we really waiting for these events to happen first:

Israel dwelling in safety

prophecy of Elam (whatever it is)

Psalm 83

anybody have any input

thank you

Hi Heidi - some of my thoughts are -  Israel dwelling in safety -  he basically said they are now living in safety when he said this: "In the past, Dr. Goodman has pointed out that it is not a question of whether Israel is under attack, threatened, without peace, etc., but it is a question of whether Israel is safe from defeat or not." They can defend themselves now so I think he is saying that, yes, they can be attacked now but they can defend themselves. In addition to that - maybe the fact that no one is currently attacking them (meaning they are safe) is due to US backing. That obviously won't keep from from attacking for long.

And the other things in his list, he states " if God can change the situation in the Middle East in one day (and He did), He can change the situation in Elam, or anywhere else, in one day or less, anytime He wants.". I think he's saying that he thinks there are things that need to happen before Gog and Magog but that they can happen quickly!

I think this article was very encouraging 🙂

Here is a good, well-considered article on Elam and the prophecy at issue.  There are disagreements among people as to how this might be fulfilled or whether it has been already.

Likewise, Psalm 83 might not be a specific war, but rather a list of nations who are long standing enemies of Israel.  They will not succeed in their evil plans.

It's hard to be dogmatic on some points.

Thank you NoFearJustFaith and David for your input and explanations.

I am starting to think that psalm 83 is not going to be a war.

The prophecy of Elam seems a bit confusing. I have to read info on it another time. thank you for the link David.

One thing to keep in mind is that NONE of this needs to happen before the Rapture. We could literally go right now. All of the signs and prophecies we read about and see do NOT need to come to pass before we are out of here. They simply tell us that we must be very close because these things are all coming about. Most, if not all of them will happen after we are gone, so keep your hopes up and do not be discouraged by anything being "on hold" or delayed. It matters not.

Great word Yohanan.

Indeed it is the Lord that decides when the cup of man's iniquity is full and when He desires to collect His Bride!

The Lord has always been gracious by way of keeping His church abreast of His dealings with Man!  Herein is the reason for prophecy and prophets.  He has always shared and made His intentions known, especially towards His Bride!    All we can do is stand in awe as we watch His wonders to perform.

No doubt that in the quiet times here upon the Earth that the heavenlies remain quite active and busy.  As Heaven always prepares in advance for the things that shall yet befall the Earth!
